Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)

Magical summer moment?
June 2014, Rome, Italy
It was a gorgeous evening in the end of June and I was just a tiny speckle in a crowd of 70 000 people. The air was sweet with great music and it had a wonderful smell of soft breeze blowing above us. I was finally at the concert that I’ve been waiting for for months, the concert that at first I didn’t want to go because it seemed like something I shouldn’t afford myself, the concert that I was affraid to miss because of a great chance that it was my only shot at hearing this great band live.
I was dancing and singing to the songs and enjoying myself like I haven’t in a long long time and then… the moment came. The opening beats of my favorite song sent chills down my spine and shot them over my whole body and everything was tingly – the whole world. The smile crept all over my face and I must have looked like an idiot but it was truly magical. When you just close your eyes and feel the music, really enjoy it and let it take you to another dimension. It felt like I had my own private party and everyone else around me disappeared for a minute. I never thought these kind of moments actually exist untill I experienced it firsthand.
I realize I probably came across like a lunatic but since it truly was a beautiful and magical summer moment for me, I wanted to describe it in a way that it would do it justice at least partially.
Also, at first I admit I started to write this paragraph only to have a chance to win something (especially that fit bit that I wanted to try for a while but wouldn’t let myself expend like that), but then it really came down to thinking about the summer and reliving that great moment again – so thank you for that, truly.
My magic moment was a surprise proposal on the beach at sunset. It was the first day of vacation and a completely surreal moment, he even had a friend there taking pictures (I had no clue). Naturally I said yes!
Magic moment: watching my little man conquer the diving board at the swimming pool. 4 y/o and absolutely no fear.
my magic moment was when i married my best friend on july 12th!
My magic moment was when my fiance proposed!
My big magic summer moment was taking our two kids, 1.5 and 3, to Disneyland for the first time. I also love the small moments spent in the backyard running through sprinklers,.
My magic moment was walking the walls in Dubrovnik during our honeymoon!
I pre-orded the book and can’t wait to devour it! (pun intended)
My magical moment from this summer is spending a weekend roadtripping in Wisconsin with my BFF before we both left for college. :)
I have a two magic moments that are both funny enough and life changing enough to share. The first is traveling across four provinces (I live in Canada) over 10 days to move back home after graduating with my Masters in Social Work. Now that’s not the magical part, the magical part is that I traveled not only with my boyfriend (who drove most of the way!) but also my pet….which is a fish. Yes I did a road trip with my fish, whose name is Rufio. I’d attach a photo of how he traveled if I could! I smuggled him into restaurants (one being sushi…) in my purse so he wouldn’t over heat in the car (he even spent a day at the spa!…albeit in the locker room). Anyway it was magical to have him 1-not die, and 2- have the story to go along with it.
My second magical moment was realizing that I may be moving to my favorite city, New York, to work with an organization working with homeless and under privileged youth. Traveling to the city to see what they do was not only awe inspiring, but showed that giving youth hope can really change their lives. Those moments were truly more than magical.
My magic summer moment came while disconnecting from technology at the cottage. Soul cleansing.
Oh and I also pre-ordered your book (can’t wait to get it!) and will probably order one to be part of a wedding present for my brother too!
My magic moment was a late afternoon walk by the water in Seattle on a gorgeous summer day, right before flying home after visiting my in-laws.
I preordered your book from amazon. I can’t wait to get it. I attended your grilled cheese class at crate and was so excited to meet you in person. So excited for the book!
My magical moment this summer was when my best friend and I went to the concert of our favorite singer. Cure for anything – Singing the night away with your bestie!
magic moment: getting engaged :)
