Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. A summer thunderstorm at a lake cabin with 5 of my best friends… good times
I have two small children, so my summer was full of magic moments!
– 20 minute long tickle fights with my 4 yr old son that left us both gasping for air but unable to stop
– watching my 7 yr old daughter discover a love of reading as she tackled book after book in pursuit of finishing the summer reading program at our local library.
-camping with my daughter’s Brownie troop and watching a group of girls revel in being outdoors and finding fun amongst redwood trees and banana slugs.
– morning snuggles with one kid tucked under each arm as we talked about what we should do with our day.
– seeing my kids bond with buddies on our street and having them run through both houses like they belonged there.
-travelling to the mountains and seeing my children play in their first mountain lake.
– tears in my daughter’s eyes as I said good-bye to her on her first day of school, knowing that she was ready to go back to school, but feeling happy that she had had so much fun over the summer that she wasn’t ready to give up spending time with me. I know those days won’t be around much longer and I treasure the times she wants to be with me…
-knowing that my children had as much fun with me as I did with them.
My magic moment was my 4 year old’s birthday. It was the first year she’s really understood what it meant and she was wonderful.
My magic moment was being reunited with my cousins after being away 5 years and spending a morning in downtown Cincinnati walking around, reminiscing, and exploring together.
Going to playland and being there LITERALLY all day!
i just went to a magical wedding by the Gorge in Washington state!
i pre-ordered the book a while ago!
My magical moment was my college roommate surprising me with homemade chocolate chip cookies for my birthday.
My trip down to Santa Barbara!
I did not pre-order your cookbook as I will be seeing you in Tampa. Tickets come with a book :) See you then!
My favorite magical moment was when my boyfriend, who spent the summer as a commercial halibut fisherman in the Bering Sea surprised me by ringing our doorbell with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers days earlier than expected.
My favorite part of the summer was finally getting to move in with my boyfriend for the summer after a 3 year-long distance relationship! Cooking for 2 is definitely a lot more fun!
I pre-ordered your book months ago via Amazon and I’m SOOOO excited for it!!! CAN’T wait to start cooking from it!
CONGRATS ON THE BABY!
Pre-ordered your book months ago from Amazon! Can’t wait to get it in the mail!
My magical moment this summer involves food and drink, naturally (!), specifically a glass of perfectly chilled, dry rose wine with a fig, goat cheese, honey and arugula tartine on a seaside patio at sunset in Cassis in southern France. The food, wine, gorgeous setting and company together are etched in my memory. It was my first time to France, and it won’t be my last!
Just purchased two copies of Seriously Delish, one for me and one for my sister as an early birthday present. Good luck with the tour- this has clearly been a labour of love (and much hard work).
My magical moment was watching my little brother’s face light up while playing with sparklers for the first time. Priceless.
My magic moment this summer was getting to spend 5 days at home with my family, even though it was for a memorial. I live in LA now so getting to spend time with my family was magical :)
I’ve already preordered your book!!
Hiking in the Olymic Forest with my boyfriend.
Favorite moment this summer was helping my kids create and run a lemonade stand!
My magic moment is when my long-distance boyfriend’s parents surprised both me and him by sending me to Australia to see him. Seeing him for the first time in forever, waiting in the airport with pink roses was truly magical. (Also, his parents are amazing!)
My Magic Summer Moment: was the afternoon that my three-year-old daughter decided she would not be afraid of the water. After weeks of avoiding going into the lake where we were staying for the month of July, she saw her cousins jumping off the back of the boat into the water, and miraculously decided it looked like fun. She then took off her clothes, threw on a life-jacket, and jumped in all by herself (in her panties!) It was adorable , and an image I will always fondly remember. She now loves going into the water, her confidence has soared, and our whole family has much more fun at the lake and pool., or whatever refreshing water source the sunshine carries us!
It’s not the summer for us here yet (in Australia) – my fave moment this winter has been a sneaky surprise from my Mum, who was here (from NZ) for work and found a half day to hang out with me. We did what any mother and daughter who hadn’t seen each other in months would do: went to IKEA! An afternoon of meatballs and buying things I don’t need for my house with my Mumsie was just the best.
My favorite Summer moment was playing cribbage next to the bonfire at Priest Lake in Northern Idaho. My fella and I were waiting on our campfire dinner to finish cooking, our pup was rolling around in the dirt like it was the best thing ever invented, the waves were splashing on the beach. Miles from work, traffic, and drama..minutes from steaming hot foil-cooked sausage and roasted garlic!
My favorite magical moment this summer was going to the beach with family
My magic moment was growing my first plants! I’m still very new to gardening so it’s going by preeetty slowly. Nothing has died yet though so… fingers crossed!
Summer is a distant memory here in NZ, but the highlight was welcoming my wee baby girl, Penelope!
My magical moment from this summer involves being on holiday in Spain with a group of my uni friends. We we’re all about to graduate and wanted one final hoorah. We stayed together in my friends’ parents house and the best night was the night we all barbecued together. I am by far the foodiest out of my friends, they’re all happy to eat scrambled eggs all day for the effort-to-food ratio. So everyone barbecuing some amazing food and sharing drinks and cocktails together really made my heart sing and made me so thankful for the friends I’ve made in the past four years.
I love your blog, you inspire my cooking so much!
I am SO excited to have a give away open to those outside the US! Seeing as I’m from Australia we’re just coming out of winter, so my favourite moment from this winter would be the morning snuggle times my husband and I have had with our new baby son :)
My favourite summer moment was having long lunches with my best friend, our husbands and our two new babies, Ava and Jack. Crazy how life changes but good food and wine always help create amazing memories x
My favorite part of this summer was- we got to fly back home to Washington state after moving to Georgia from Texas.
has got to be when we had our offer accepted on our dream home
My magic moment this summer will have to be having my whole immediate family all together for the first time in over a year. We’re all fuelled by wanderlust and/or jobs that keep us separate so it was good to spend some time catching up.
My entire summer was wonderful. Spending time time with family, especially the little ones !!
Yay for a great giveaway! My summer has been amazing! Spent a week with my family camping in traverse city and petoskey! And my quilting. Business has really taken off! The pens and bag will help keep me organized!
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
My magic moment from this summer is FINALLY finding sweet corn in my local market (I live in France and finding fresh corn is like a finding a unicorn around here). My husband and I stuffed outselves on sweet corn polenta, fritters, corn chowder — all of those delicious summertime meals that I miss from the Midwest.
I’m looking forward to the book!
My magic moment from this summer was getting married!
Can I have a magical two weeks from this summer instead of just one moment? I live in London and spent two weeks roadtripping from nyc to cape cod, to Boston, Toronto and back to Manhattan and I had soooo many magical moments! Eating the best ice cream of my life in Martha’s vineyard, having an impromptu incredible night out in Boston with two guys from the Cheers bar, whale watching, Niagara falls and new york city again – my favourite city in the world. It was incredible!
Right now, waiting to board Our flight to Beijing. From where we will fly on to Mongolia and then back to China. 3,5 weeks of vacation, culture, food and lots more!.
My magical moment was an unexpected visit to a farm during a weekend with friends, and watching my kids jump from straw bale to straw bale, with a new friend. I love how easily they make friends and jump into a new adventure both feet first.
My magic moment was realizing that I no longer have to spend my life trying to please everyone..sounds silly..but I’ve always been a people pleaser…constantly putting what people want for me before myself. This summer I got a huge wake up call, that the only person that I ever have to please is me.
My most magical moment of the summer was our family’s reunion at my uncle’s lake house. It’s amazing how much all of my cousins have grown up. A lot of exciting changes for all my cousins- college, engagements, weddings, new jobs, incredible travel experiences. I appreciate seeing everyone and catching up mire and more each year :)
Bought your book! Cannot wait!
Working in hospitality I have the power to make memorable stays at our resort. I found out one of my guests was a marine and it was his birthday. He didn’t want any attention drawn. His wife informed me that he was a big dessert lover and loved red wine. So i sent up a card thanking him for serving our country and had my whole staff sign along with a dessert plate and a bottle of red wine. I also made them reservations at our fine dining restaurant and personalized their menus. The couple were extremely thankful for what i had done. He came up to the front desk in tears of joy for all that we did. YES, I went on vacation with my family and had a fabulous time in california, a place i had never visited, but bringing joy to others is my true passion.
I bought the book! preorder two months ago through amazon! see you next tuesday in tampa :)
My favorite moment this summer was wandering through Monet’s gardens in Girveny France on our delayed honeymoon- 31 years after our wedding!!!
I have preordered 3 books- I can’t wait to get mine and give the others to my daughter and daughter-in-law!
Spending precious moments with my boyfriend in Spain right after I turned in my master thesis.
My magical moment of the summer was going to a cake decorating class at King Arthur and learning a new skill!! :) :) I can’t wait for the next birthday in my family!
My most magical summer moment was standing next to my bestest friend as she said “I do” earlier this month.
