Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. This summer was full of magical moments!!! It’s been such a great summer! My most magical moment was definitely when my boyfriend of 4 years proposed. He had gathered my whole family and his at my parents farm, arranged an old horse cart with candles and a chalk board. He then led me down through the field to the horse wagon with my entire family behind me. it was so thoughtful and perfect!
My “magic moment” was an awesome day of our vacation to San Diego – delicious food & drink, sunshine, and being with my favorite person.
Well if a magic moment this summer includes a lot of drizzle (not icing, just rain) and
the wonderful scent of wet dog, then I had the BEST !! Not a great summer, but, hey, hearing about all these other magic moments gives me the idea that we are all having a pretty wonderful time anyway :)
And anyhow, I have your book to look forward to – bringing a little sunshine and a lot of lovely ideas …. Call yourself an international bookseller – at least one copy is coming to Switzerland :)

I moved from Nashville (love that city, and they have wonderful food!) to Waco, TX (not as much going on here…) this summer. I was very apprehensive about the move since there is not much to do in a city like Waco, I knew no one here, food options are limited, and I made a commitment to live here for four years. My magic moment this summer was realizing it is not WHERE you are living, but the PEOPLE you surround yourself by that really make a place special. Getting outside my comfort zone and meeting new people has been especially rewarding! AND good food is actually everywhere! I will be hosting a small dinner this Friday using some of the recipes on this website. :)
My magical summer moment was discovering your blog! I love your writing style and recipes. I have added it to my daily blog regiment.
My magic moment came this summer when my 15 yr old son and I had the chance to fly to kazakhstan to see my husband who is deployed there. We hadn’t seen him in 7 months and it would be another 4 months (end of December) until he was home. He was craving salsa (no Mexican food in 7 months is hard for a texas guy!) so I went to the local market and even though I didn’t speak the language and they didn’t understand me, I managed to gather the ingredients to make salsa! I had packed chips in a sturdy box in my suitcase so when my husband came home from work, I pulled out the chips and homemade salsa. That was the most magical moment of my summer. Sitting in a foreign land, my family back together again briefly and munching in chips and salsa and just living….
My magic moment from the summer was when all 5 of my kids were FINALLY home at the same time and we had dinner together!
My magic moment was watching the sunrise from the wildwood boardwalk
My magic moment this summer was renting a cabin in the Smokey Mountains with my family, giving up the internet and TV for playing board game and charades. Also, tubing through the mountains was pretty amazing.

I loved spending 4 days on Catalina Island for a friends wedding, so much fun.
Sitting on a pier in Cornwall (UK!) eating ice cream and watching the sun set over the calmest, flattest, most magically blue sea I think I’ve ever seen. Feeling relaxed, happy and peaceful for the first time in the 6 months since starting my new job, and actually having some time to spend with the other half!
Like every summer, seeing the first mango ripe and ready to be plucked from the tree to be savoured is the highlight of the season..the joys of sucking on the juicy fruit with the juices trickling down the arm are unmatched!
traveling in Portugal, Spain, and France with my bff!
Hands down the best moment of the summer… the birth of our daughter. She has completely rocked our world in the most wonderful way imaginable.

the most magic moment of the summer occurred when i spent the entire day with my younger sister at the beach
Just ordered the book on Amazon! I so can’t wait!!! MMMMM!!!!
All things blue have can “summarize” my magical moments this summer. Floating on the blue water and blue skies in the ocean behind our house, helping two friends who have never made blueberry jam and seeing for the first time a deep blue stellar jay bird the first time in my life. Simple pleasures that have truly made me enjoy summer.
Going to a music festival on the beach with my boyfriend. Good music, sun, sand, and my favorite person!
My magic moment was going on my first cruise to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands!
I moved to New York this summer, so the whole thing has felt like a magic moment! Getting to know my way around the city, meeting amazing people, eating and everything in sight, and finally landing an exciting job have all contributed to one of the best summers of my life.

My magical moment was when my long time boy friend finally finally popped the question!
My magic moment was a day on the beach in Cape San Blas, FL with friends and family – was totally beyond what I could have imagined…pure love!
My magic summer moment was hosting a fundraiser for my friend’s niece who is from Bali, Indonesia. Komang is from a very poor family, She last her leg to bone cancer several months ago and will require chemotherapy and a prosthetic leg. Some of the items I sold were from Bali but most were handmade with love. I used a lot of recipes from your blog and we had a great time.
