Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic moment this summer was taking a day off from work and spending the entire day on the beach with my best friend :)
My magic moment was tearing out the overgrown trees in front of our newly purchased house and working on my very own garden.
My magic moment this summer was when I got to eat vending machine cheeseburgers with my dad (he is in prison so you cant be picky with food!), but seriously it was awesome. Made me realize how short life is and how you should choose forgiveness if possible. Even if it means eating microwave burgers.
after many months of a 4-hour long-distance relationship, my magic moment of this summer occurred when i finally got to move to be with my fiance!
BBQ!
Sticking my feet in the water while just relaxing at the beach. So nice – no worries about what needs to be cleaned, washed, dried, cooked, or taken care of. Just me time!
I pre ordered Seriously Delish on June 25th! Says I get it by 9/2… Can’t wait can’t wait. <3
I pre-ordered you book on Amazon. It is the first book I’ve ever pre-ordered!
My vacation starts tomorrow! So I haven’t had any big magical moments, yet. Hopefully, there will be a couple while we are in NC! Though watching our little girl singing Itsy, Bitsy Spider to herself and doing the motions last night was one of the small, magical moments that I love.
My magical moment was letting out everything in my heart and mind that was causing me pain. I never felt so vulnerable and open, yet empowered. That or sitting around with friends around a kitchen table, eating pineapple soaked in rum, laughing at pictures of cows :)
Waking up, watching the sunrise and drinking coffee with my dad, mom, sister and brother on our last trip as a family to Jackson Hole, WY. My twin sister is getting married in December so our family is about to grow!! It was special being just the five of us for the last time. Thanks Jessica!!
My magical moment was my first dance with my husband on our wedding day, July 12! Walking into a room full of all our family and friends and our song playing in a beautiful space was so magical. I’ll never forget it!
My magic moment was devouring the most (seriously!) delicious truffle-mushroom soup for lunch on top of the Reichstag in Berlin. And Weiner schnitzel. And rosé.
During the summer, I spend a lot of time working with youth at my church. My magic moment this summer was at church camp when I got to sit down with this incredible kid who has been handed a pretty tough hand. We talked about his family and how school was going. We also talked about how he had given up on the church, which broke my heart. But as the week went on, I began to see him start to change his mind because of the love of the adults and students that surrounded him. It’s always a magic moment when you start to see hope again in someone’s eyes.
Oh, and I haven’t pre-ordered your book yet…but I will see you when you’re in Houston and will buy my copy then!
My magic moment of the summer was my fiance moving to Milwaukee so that we can start our lives together! Never looking back!

My magic moment this summer was taking my little girls to the beach. Just mommy and the girls! It was so much fun to have that special quality time with them. Priceless!
My magical moment was my husband and I saying our vows to each other at our June 1st wedding. I cried throughout the whole ceremony!
My magic moment was this past weekend- we had biked around all day in Maine, then returned to the cottage we were staying at and ate all the food- the most amazing lobster, steak, potatoes, summer squash, peach cobbler, and s’mores. We watched the sunset (and tried to avoid the Mosquitos). It was just one of those magical meals with friends!
Standing at the peak of Namsan Mountain and looking over thr gorgeous dull blue glow of Seoul.
Love your blog! My magical moment this summer was biking 7 miles each way to enjoy the best lobster roll in Montauk, well worth it!

Spending a week with my son at the lake house where I spent childhood summers. Loved building memories together!
My magic moment was taking my two kids to the same Hawaiian Island (and same resort) as my husband and I went to for our honeymoon 8 years ago. It was so special to share this island that found a big home in our hearts with my two boys.
I pre-ordered the book WEEKS ago…duh. :)
My magic moment was getting married in June! I met my husband at our church in 2008 (at age 16) and less than six years later, we’re married. Woo hoo! We’ve been through a lot together… a car accident, his parent’s divorce, and me going to college at PSU. All of those things brought us closer together and made us love each other even more (<—- cheesy, right?!).
Anyways, we got married at our church, where we met. So that was pretty magical. It was the best day of my life, to be standing at the altar with the man I love so much, while being surrounded by all the people we love and care for. It was amazing :).
My magic moment this summer was when my son, daughter-in-law and 2 small grandsons moved back to my town!
Just pre-ordered your book! Can’t wait to receive it!
This summer, my magic moment was buying my first house! After months and months of looking at apartments and townhouses I finally found my own place! I was, and still am so excited and thrilled that all my hard work and penny pinching paid off! I don’t think I have ever been more excited and more terrified at the same time as the day I handed over my down payment and signed the final papers… it was that sudden life changing, earth stopping moment when you realise that one of your longest held dreams just happened… you crazy homeowner, you!
My magic moment this summer was my husband and I purchasing our first house!
My magic moment from this summer was celebrating my two year wedding anniversary with my husband!
Stuffing my face with Korean BBQ to celebrate our last day of summer school. The food was amazing, and we knew we were a little bit closer to earning our degrees.
I pre-ordered your book when you first posted that it was available to pre-order! I’m so excited to receive it!

My magic moment(s) was watching my 4 and 3 year old actually play together and laugh!
My magical moment was the whole summer! My kids are both old enough now that we don’t require naps, so we were all over the place all the time. Like a little tribe. Best summer ever!
My magic moment was laying on the beach on my last day of vacation in Cape Cod with my best gal pal, my brother and my soon-to-be brother-in-law with a pile of magazines and 3 types of sunscreen!
My magic moment this summer was the last minute trip to Lake Powell with my little sister and family friend. We left two days after getting the invitation. Skipped some class and work, got in the car and drove to live on a boat for a few days. The sunsets and view of the stars were a dream.
I pre-ordered your cookbook!
My magic moment this summer has been being pregnant and having our 20 week ultrasound was probably one of the top moments of my life this far. We didn’t find out the gender of the baby (we’re waiting to be surprised) but just seeing it move and knowing it’s developing as it should be gave me the greatest amount of happiness and pride I’ve experienced in a long time.
AND! I pre-ordered your book! Wee!
