Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic moment happened in June. I live in NYC, which should be fun, but I’ve been feeling very trapped and caged for the last year. Then suddenly a friend told me I could take the subway to a beach. Sure, it was a two hour ride, but why not? Anyway, the second I stepped off the subway and saw the ocean and the sand and the beach bar, I just felt so light and happy and all the stresses of the city just melted away. It was so amazing! :-D
My magic moment was 4th of July. The whole family sitting around the deck overlooking the lake: )
That bag! That Vitamix! THAT CHOCOLATE mmmm….hmm my magical moment of the summer would be (this is a tough question!)…I started my summer with completing a half marathon, with a bad leg. I limped the last 5 miles solely because I’m stubborn and refused to do anything else but run across the finish line. I ended up with my best time too…how is this a magical moment? It reminded me how resilient the human body and spirit can be and that is a truly magical moment!
:-)
My magic moment was a quiet afternoon on the front porch of our beach house, just listening to the waves crashing and birds chirping, smelling the ocean air with a cocktail and a book in hand and no makeup on, relaxed perfection!
My magic moment was our annual Fourth of July party. All of our friends came and brought tons of food and fun — at the end of the night we all stood around and lit sparklers and it was so pretty :) My favorite summer tradition.
Hard to choose but I think my most magical moment this summer has been realizing how happy I am in a new city while enjoying some live music outdoors as the sun set with fireflies fluttering around.
Laughing so hard I cried while playing charades with my family. We don’t get together often like this……the kids looked at us like we were all crazy. :)
My magic moment of the summer was during our vacation to Destin, FL. It’s always a magical and super relaxing destination but seemed better this time. The water was extra beautiful and the night we went out on a sailboat during sunset and were able to watch fireworks beneath the mood was nothing short of magical. I’ve been reliving those sweet nights when I’m extra bored at work – it helps!
My favorite Magic Moment is when the family & I traveled out of state to scope out a college for my oldest daughter – made me realize that time I don’t have much family time left and that every moment counts. You really don’t see time fly until you have children. Love them much! Love them often!
Magic moment this summer was definitely chilling in the brand new pools at Everbank Stadium!
My magic moment was spending 2 weeks in Fiji on a medical missions trip. I’ve never met more wonderful people in my life than the people in Fiji!
I had my dream wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica this Summer! Though a lot of people couldn’t make it, it was perfect in every way. xoxo
I would have to say that this whole summer has been magical. My husband and I had our second daughter and I got to spend the entire summer with my amazing daughters. I live in Canada and am very fortunate to receive 1 year maternity leave. Added bonus the weather has been amazing. Thanks for your blog !!
My most magical moment was when my daughter was born :-)
My magical moment would have to be checking out the new bar in NYC called Grand Banks. It’s on a functioning schooner on the Hudson river. I went after work one night with some co-workers on a super hot day. Once we got down to the dock it was instantly breezy and 10 degrees cooler. We spent the night drinking negronis and eating oysters and crudo. I didn’t feel like i was in NYC anymore, it was like an instant vacation.
My magic moment this summer was our first family vacation to St Pete beach. My son is 1.5 yrs old and it was a treat to stay that close to such a lovely beach :)
My magic moment was being proposed to on the beach in Punta Cana!

My magic moment was going out for ice cream with the kids….just being outside and enjoying the day. Not exciting, but perfect all the same!
My magic moments were the two girls trips I got to take. I love being a stay at home mom and working part time but I needs a renewal and those trips reminded me to take time for me. Great giveaway too!

My magic moment was receiving confirmation of what I suspected all along – that I will be giving birth to a little boy in January! :)
My magical moment from this summer was visiting Charleston, SC with my family! The best part of the trip was the culinary tour!!
My magic moment was a trip to Cinci with a good friend to see Tim McGraw and Kip Moore. I mean, really, what can beat a great outdoor concert with a great friend, a cold beverage, and Tim belting his heart out on stage as the sun goes down??
Oh, also, preordered your book last month! Sooooo excited!!!
My most magical summer moment was getting to watch the fireworks during the 4th of July with my wife on vacation in Minneapolis!
I have also pre-ordered your book!!
Taking my little girl to my alma mater and having her run around like she was in an enchanted kingdom, finally to declare, “I love it here. It’s so classical. I’m definitely going to mama’s college when I grow up!” Yeah, I’m a nerd :)
My magic moment(s) have been enjoying every second of summer with my husband (even though we both work full-time), because last year at this time, he was deployed overseas with the Navy.
My magical moment happened two weekends ago. I live in Colorado and went to Iowa for a wedding. I thought it would be a typical weekend. However, on the way home my boyfriend and I decided to take an impromptu road trip across the entire midwest. We saw the most magical views of the badlands, visited tiny cute towns, and ended up sleeping in the back of his car only to wake up at 5AM to view the most AMAZING sunrise I’ve ever seen accompanied by wild buffalos and lots of wind. We drove through the Black Hills and saw some of the most incredible views I’ve ever witnessed. It completely refreshed me and I booked another trip for two weeks from now!
Wow! How generous of you! These are some incredible giveaway prizes!
I think my most magical moment of this past summer was going to a concert in Millennium Park with an old roommates. The orchestra was incredible, the music was beautiful, and it was just one of those, “Gosh, I’m so lucky to be living this life” sort of moments :)
discovering this website – and the corn and zucchini pizza!
My magical moment came as I watched my 4yr old son and 2 yr old daughter play on the beach…out running the waves, finding wonders in the tide pools and laughing at the sea lions!
My magic moment happened when I flew back home to visit my family in Seattle. After getting off the plane and making my way towards baggage claim, I was met by my 3 year old nephew, holding a bouquet of flowers for me … and a cookie monster balloon. I got to spend two whole weeks with the little man!
When I got my new puppy Archie to love. He is so much fun!
My magic moment from this summer was when i got MARRIED two Saturdays ago. Yay for sunny (but hot) August weddings!
when i went to the poconos for the first time in 15 years, so peaceful and so awesome.
Watching my daughter turn into a little person! 8 months old and has all of my heart! :)
Magical moment was seeing my baby girl laugh for the first time!
Preordered the book this week, can’t wait to see it!
My magic moment from this summer was seeing our nearly 2 year old see the ocean for the first time and LOVING it! Seeing the wonder and joy on his face was priceless! He then took over a beach chair and just enjoyed splashing in the waves coming in and out. SO cute!!
The women in my family hosted a birthday tea party for my great-aunt – four generations of cousins, mothers and daughters, grandmas all together eating amazing food and sharing good memories. Since I live far away from the rest of my family, it was a treat to be able to be present at the event and be surrounded by such amazing women.
My magic moment was probably the 40-minute shower I had after my very first camping trip! I’m *not* a camping girl, but some friends roped me into a weekend trip. I survived, but goodness that shower afterward was the best shower of my life!
My magical moment was my 24th birthday, when all of my friends came out to see me and give me well-wishes!
My magic moment from the summer was NANTUCKET. I have never been to Massachusetts, and wow! It’s a gorgeous place. I need to return and eat more! Thanks to your Nantucket posts for some inspiration while we were there!
My magic moment of the summer seems so ordinary at the time…but looking back, it was so perfect, I kiiiind of wanna cry a little. What’s that all about? Sitting around a hot red fire in my mom’s backyard, with a few friends gathered around it, chatting, laughing, and making smores. Sticky marshmallow goo burning on a stick and on my fingertips, Hershey’s chocolate melting in my mouth, the stars beginning to show above the trees. Flash freeze. Perfect summer moment, already melting away to fall. OMG i love you for doing a giveaway…Fun!! I’ve got my sights on that blender…dreamy. xo.
Finally decided to do something fun (instead of housework) on a weekend and took my two boys to a church carnival just down the street. There were free games (with prizes!), face painting, balloon animals, a bounce house, live music, and free food. it felt so good to give myself permission to relax and have fun with my boys before they go off to school again. Plus, free stuff!
