Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic moment of the summer is a little bit sappy but it meant so much to me. My fiancé had been gone for close to 7 months working on a barge traveling to and from the Arctic and my magic moment was the day he came home and I got to pick him up from the airport. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder and there was a truly magical moment in that reunion! I’m so happy to have him home!

My magic moment from this summer was spending the week shell combing and relaxing in North Myrtle Beach with my family.
My magic moment this summer was crushing my fiancé and his dad at boules (while teaming up with the future MIL)–girls for the win! The wine we drank to celebrate our victory wasn’t so bad either. ;)

My magic moment of the summer was probably the night of the dinner party we threw in our backyard. It rained like crazy on and off and I was afraid people wouldn’t show or the dinner would be ruined. It turns out that with a few bottles of champagne and french wine people will stick it out and wait for the skies to clear and the rain to stop. The night turned out beautifully and it made me realize that being patient and having faith will ensure a good result, it also helped that our friends would stick it out for good food and we did our best to deliver on that promise!
My magic moment was finally being healthy enough (I have multiple rare diseases that make it difficult to travel) to travel to SF (from DC) for a week long family reunion.
Having time off with my husband for the first time in years.
My moment was the boyfriend surprising me on my birthday with pots of basil, mint, and cilantro that he’d been growing at a friend’s house for a month, because I mentioned that I’d like to start an herb garden.
Jess, your blog is my favorite website, aside from Facebook. I love it. I haven’t pre-ordered your book because I will buy it at our local bookstore, but you can bet the farm that I’ll be there on the day it comes out. Congratulations!

Omg – why not to do things from your phone! I can’t figure out how to delete this comment! I pre-ordered a while ago on amazon!
My magic moment was on summer vacay at the beach with my hubs and two littles. The vacay had been a bit of disaster- it rained cats and dogs, there were piles of sea weed on the shore (1 ft deep) up to the water, the ac in our rental house broke and our kids didn’t sleep. But on the last day, the rain let up, the sun came out and we had the most memorable time on the beach
My magic moment was the homebirth of my first baby, a girl, Remy. I’m sure there are more but I can’t remember them cause I’m sleepwalking most of the day :-)
My summer’s Magic moment:
We bought our first house in march, (first 5 years of our marriage was in an apt and my in laws basement). We got it all refinished how we liked it, bought furniture, unpacked alllllll the boxes, and celebrated by breaking in our charcoal grill.
First night in June when it was a calm evening and no rain, just as the sun was going down behind the trees, my husband and I sat for the first time in the backyard hot tub; listening to the birds, bugs, and watched the sun set with a light show from lightning bugs. We knew we were finally home.
Every time since then when I’m in the hot tub after a work out or just to soak, I’m reminded of that feeling that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
Yay! This is so exciting, I hope I win! Anyway, magic moment from this summer. Hmm. FIrst thing that comes to mind is heading out to South Hampton just to check out the DASH pop up store. I didn’t see a Kardashian but it was fun random thing to do.
My magic moment was celebrating my daughters first birthday!
Magic moment of the summer, try magic moment of my life :) I finally got to marry my college sweetheart that I met in our very first class freshmen year. Our wedding was definitely my magic moment in an old brick church with all our friends and family there to cheer us on! With lots of dancing, southern food and drinks from mason jars afterwards! :)
ps. I preordered your book and I cannot wait for it to come to me :)
Hi again! Just preordered the book! Can’t wait! I love all your recipes!!

I also just pre-ordered your book! Soo excited!

My magical moment of summer was when I was offered a job as a special education teacher!
My magic moment this summer was taking a vacation with my family to Florida before heading to school!
My magic moment was when my bf and I were discussing wanting to make a tiny human sometime soon, and he told me “you are a wonderful person and I think the world needs more of you in it” awww totally smarmy. But seriously, that’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. I think he’s chipping away at this ‘no way am I having a baby’ girl!
Um, it hasn’t been a summer without complications, one way and another and it certainly hasn’t been the most relaxing one but it’s my first summer home from university. Tomorrow my older sister gets home as well. My younger sister is here too and we’re all pretty close. Tomorrow we will all be together again for the first time in quite a while. I think that will be my magic moment.
My magic moment this summer is actually a lot of little moments added together. My husband and I moved from Mississippi to South Carolina in June. It takes a lot to move from a place you’ve lived your whole life to a place you know not one single person. But as the summer ends I realize that we have already made wonderful friends, both love our new jobs, and are enjoying each magical day in a new place. All of the worry has gone out the door. Life is really really good!
My magical moment of the summer was meeting my baby niece for the first time!
Hi Jessica! What a lovely way to end the summer! Sadly, our summer here has been terrible, we only had about one week of sunshine in June! However, there were some great moments regardless, and I think my magic summer moment was when my boyfriend and I went to Stockholm for a few days, and I woke up in the middle of the night (around 2.30 am), looked out at the city and watched the sun rise.. yes, that early! the whole city was lovely and pink, and there were so many people still/already up! (it took me ages to fall back asleep afterwards!) all the best and have a great start to the week tomorrow!
There have been lots of little magical moments this summer, like hosting potlucks, picking berries, attending a wedding, trying new recipes, seeing my new cat settle in, binge watch TV shows on Netflix with my sweetheart, and swim in the river.
My magic moments of the summer has been spending quality time with my girl before her brother joins us this fall. I’ve been soaking up the memories of this precious time!
My magic moment this summer was celebrating our 15th wedding
Anniversary, with our family and friends.
