Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic moment this summer was from our trip to Yosemite. The grueling trip to the top of Nevada Falls was all worth it, standing at the top, listening to the water roar of the edge and surveying the valley below which we JUST CLIMBED UP. It was incredibly amazing.
Just spending time with my kids home
My magical moment this summer was the moment I was offered a dream job teaching kindergarten! I’m so excited for the fall!
Best thing we did was ride bikes to the beach and get ice cream!
My magic moment of the summer is a little boring, but special none the less. I’ve taken the time to get passionate about myself and start doing more of things that I love. I have been enjoying the season and going to local DC farmers markets and enjoying the beautiful scenery in our nation’s capital. I’ve become extremely interested and involved in the local food culture here by buying local producing and trying new local brands, like Gordies Pickles and Whisked pies (try them. they are UH-mazing). This may seem silly, but it means a lot to a workaholic that struggles to escape the shackles of my desk.
My little brother’s wedding! It was very sweet.
Watching my 6 year old pass the deep-end swim test at the pool and the moment when she jumped off the diving board for the first time.
my magic moment was getting married!
My magical moment was over the past weekend, when we came home to find a broken air conditioner and a 96 degree house. After getting bad news about fixing it, and deciding it would take about a week to get parts (since we did not want to chunk over a ton on a new unit that we don’t need quite yet) I asked my husband if he wanted me to go hang at my parents for the week, since I am pretty high maintenance about A/C and my happy temperature. He said we’ve been through worse and he’d rather I stay even if I’m grouchy. We bought a portable unit and holed up in the bedroom with fruit and snacks and watched videos and got a glimpse into what it would be like to live in a tiny apartment, but we had a lot of FUN despite the sucky situation.
My magical moment was getting to the top of a killer hike in lovely Colorado that I’ve attempted TWICE before success…. it kicked my butt!!! The icing on the cake: I “proposed” to my maid of honor at the top!!
I’m so excited to have pre-ordered your book on Amazon today! I love love love your blog and can’t wait to have some paper recipes of yours :)
My boyfriend of 4 years proposed to me:) Most amazing moment by far!
My magical moment was going on vacation with my husband and eating eclairs in a quiet courtyard on the French Riviera.
I also preordered your book through amazon, can’t wait!!
I live snuggled up to the foothills in Boulder, CO. Not far from here is the most magical swimming pool–spring-fed, cold, and built right into the rocks. My magic moment was plunging into that water on a scorching hot day and looking up at the trees and the rocks and the blue, blue sky. Sigh!
Thanks for the lovely giveaway and congrats on the book! Can’t wait to see it!
Summiting two “fourteeners” in Colorado with my sister and cousin!
My magical moment was when I was finally able to run again after hurting my back in June and spending over 2 months trying to fix it!
My magic “moment” is a series of things that happened – all within a few weeks, I graduated with my MBA, got married, moved to a new city, and started my dream job!
This summer has been amazing, but my most magical moment (so far!) was completing my first half marathon this past weekend in Vancouver. Running does not come easy to me, and I had been sidelined with running injuries for the past 3 years, but at 31, I finally did it!
CONGRATS on the baby and the book Jessica – I cannot wait to get it!
I pre-ordered the book as soon as you announced it! So, so excited for it!
My magic moment this summer was sitting on a rooftop patio in Toronto with my boyfriend and watching fireworks for the pride parade, drinking a mango fizz and taking in all the city lights and CN tower that was lit up. They also gave each table free pretzels which was key.
My magic moment was passing my exams and becoming a massage therapist!
my magical summer moment was hanging our with my nieces in the Nashville heat!!
My magical moment this summer is still going strong…..getting to know my now-5-month old niece Lily! She is an angel!
The moment I knew what my haert was telling me to do; to go for the NLP-training.
I went to a training for work and seriously had an Ah-Ha! moment. My business has been growing ever since .The best part was I got to spend my work training with my husband and we had a week of fun and tons of learning.
My summer magic moment had to be watching my 8 year old baby girl finish her first triathlon even after her two pals (who happen to be boys!) bailed and left her to swim in the seaweed infested waters on her own! She was a BOSS! She more than earned that DQ brownie mud-whatever ice cream treat! A close second was our mom’s triathlon relay team kicking the dad’s triathlon relay team’s butt! Mom’s rule and dad’s drool!
When I visited my friend Catie for the first time in Salt Lake City, UT. I hiked up my first mountain ^_^.
Thank-you for the giveaway!
My whole summer was magical, as I got to spend the summer with one of my grandchildren! They are the spice of life. Congratulations on your book. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
This is so nice! So happy and excited for all the big things in your life.
I’ve felt very magical this summer as I’m getting married in… 32 days?… and it’s finally starting to feel real. We purchased the wine last weekend, and that kind of felt like the point of no return. (Not that we’d want to!)
My magic moment was spending time with my 2 little ones at an ocean front splash park. So much fun!
Traveling! California, Florida, Texas and Washington DC!
Your favorite things are pretty much all my favorite things too! My magic moment this summer was realizing how much I love trees and water and greenery. I grew up in Oregon and tended to take it all for granted. After being back from a 20 year stint in LA, I looked at the Willamette River and was totally happy to be home.
My Magical Sumer Moment was getting hitched to a really cool guy with all of our family and friends there to celebrate and dance! Best party ever! I have your book on pre-order! Xxxxx
My magical moment was getting married to the love of my life 7/12/14 :)
mmmm best moment is both sweet and sour; had a week were I lost a very close family friend’s father, a family who was there every step when my mom passed. Though walking through that week was exhausting in every way, the blessing of being there for them in small ways and big was something I will always cherish!
AND I GOT YOUR BOOOOK!!!
Preordered the book & can’t wait for it to arrive
My best moment this summer was June 19th, my birthday.
Birthdays can be really tough for me because my father died on my tenth birthday of cancer. (He usually had such impeccable timing, but this time it didn’t work out, to say the least!) Even after all these years, I can get really sad and have a rotten birthday.
This year, someone I work with, who has become a dear friend, got two tickets to the ballet, which I adore. It was a compilation of “A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream” and “The Tempest”. The only thing I love more than the ballet is Shakespeare.
It was truly wonderful performance and I got to wear a new dress! A really lovely, ethereal evening all the way around.
I would have to say my magical moment of the summer was moving into my first permanent home outside of my parents, and I have to be tacky and add in graduating college, such an accomplishment! But oh so scary!
Magical moment: My two-year old cousin came up and told me she had to “pot pot” and went in the toilet instead of her pants after a few days of struggling with potty training. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I never realized how exciting bowel movements could be until this moment. I know one day you’ll identify with this- congrats on your baby! So exciting :)
Getting to spend the whole summer with my 11 year old niece. They had moved to TN in the summer of 2013 & I wasn’t able to visit them at all over the year. Her parents said she could spend the summer here in FL if she wanted to. I was ecstatic that she actually made it the whole summer. We spent most of it in the pool, with trips to Starbucks (I have that little girl hooked on iced coffee & the frapps) & a little shopping at Target. It was the best summer.
My magical moment this summer was when I realized that so many people were coming together to celebrate with me at my baby shower(s). We live really far from family and I thought we were just going to skip it but so many people wound up insisting that it became truly magical. It made me feel so loved and I am so excited to that so many people are eager to meet our baby.
My magic summer moment was kayaking with my husband (multiple times), just relaxing and watching the sea otters and seals play in the water. It’s always such a beautiful experience to watch sea life in the middle of their own playground, rather than observing from the shore. We adored days like those!
I’ve had a rough summer with some very scary health problems, but getting the all clear from doctor today was pretty sweet!
I love Jeni’s!
Just pre-ordered!
My magical moment was when I realized that my calling was to be a pediatrician. It was such a weight off my shoulders to finally choose a specialty and be able to really stand behind my choice.
Seeing a game in Fenway with my sweet hubby and kids was my magic moment! Can’t wait to have your book in my hands!!!
My magic moment was taking my husband to see my childhood home in Boston. The current owners were out front gardening and invited us in to see the house- was really cool for me and brought back some early childhood memories! Earlier that day we’d met up with my oldest childhood friend so it was a special day all around.
