Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. The most magical moment of my life/summer happened on June 28th at the beach, when my best friend and then boyfriend proposed to me. He organized a scavenger hunt that started in our condo and ended an hour away on a private beach and him on one knee. I really do believe we’re soul mates, and I can’t wait to marry my amazing fiancé.
Just pre-ordered on Amazon and I’m BEYOND excited. I’ll also be seeing you in Chapel Hill for your book signing!
My magic moment this summer was watching my 2 small kids learn to swim at the beach! I loved watching their progression from the beginning of the summer to now, they are so much more comfortable in the water- both kids ( 1.5 yo and my 2.5yo) can go under water with no problem now! I’m so sad summer is over but I cannot wait for your book!
My magic moment this summer was falling in love with the beautiful city of Boston. The people, the accents, the history, the beer, the food and Dunkin Donuts…oh my gahhhh, I can’t wait to visit again!!!!
I just preordered your book! So excited!
Oh, and I preordered your book at the beginning of the month! Eeeeeek, I am so dang excited to get my hands on it!!!!!!
My magic moment was when my little one said “love you momma” and grabbed my face for a big kiss….I’ve been doing this to him since he was born two years ago, now he’s finally old enough to reciprocate!!! Love it!
My magic moment of the summer was remodeling a house with my soul mate so we could move in together after 3 1/2 years! I’m so excited to finally be living with him i feel like a teenie-bopper at a boy band concert!
My magical moment happened just last week in Big Sur, CA. I spent all day hiking with my boyfriend and ended the night at some amazing hot baths that were on a cliff over the Pacific Ocean. So relaxing and serene!
My magic moment attending a summer camp for adults with my bestest friends (Camp Throwback, sponsored by one of my favorite bloggers BrittanyHerself http://www.campthrowback.com/). It was a total blast, and took us away from the normal adult responsibilities for a few days. It was magical!
My magic moment of the summer was any of the hikes I have been on. Colorado is awesome this time of year!
I just preordered your book! I can’t wait to receive it! Although I am a bit bummed that you aren’t coming to Dallas/Fort Worth for your book signing. You’ll just have to come for round two!
Just completed my pre-order…yeah! Looking forward to September 2nd!
Magic moment was going on our 10th annual Father/Daughter trip with my gals and our dads. It’s the best weekend.
My magic moment of the summer was watching our new house being built with my kids!
My magic moment from this summer was my stepmom’s baby shower… that’s when it finally sunk in that I’m going to be a big (like, really BIIIGGG) sister! I never thought I’d get another sibling this late in life. :)
The magic moment in my summer was indeed truly magical. I’ve been raising Monarch butterfly caterpillars to release as butterflies. One day, I opened the door to the container holding a group of butterflies, and eight of them flew out in a beautiful orange and black cloud, then circled overhead before separating and flying off, some to tree branches, some to a meadow, some out of sight. Amazing, simply amazing.
My most magical moment this summer was building our first house and moving IN! It was so amazing to see our ideas come to life and now finally being in the house is the greatest! Its all we could have imagined! <3
My magical moment was renting a beach house for a long weekend with childhood best friends. We got in a couple perfect beach days, and then when it rained the last day we were there, we made lemons out of lemonade and took a mini roadtrip, sightseeing along the coast and picking up delicious lobster rolls.
Now i’m trying not to be sad summer’s almost over by refocusing my energy on all the pumpkin-centered recipes i can make in the fall :)
Magic moment = my sons, ages 7 and 8, were well behaved on an airplane. for reals.
My magic moment this summer was dancing to Etta James’ “At Last” with my boyfriend at my best friend’s wedding. After several months of debilitating depression and hard times, it felt like a switch was flipped. We danced in the June night under twinkly lights, surrounded by friends. Magical!
My most magical moment this summer was my wedding and honeymoon! What a fantastic giveaway
Magic Summer moment – happening now as I pack my bags to fly to Europe for an 8 day stage race across the alps. boom.
I preordered a copy of your book on Amazon. Woo Hoo! :D cannot. wait.
A second magical moment this summer for me was celebrating my grandparent’s 91st and 92nd birthdays in July. They raised me since I was just under a year old and I am SO lucky to have them (still). Counting my blessings this year!
I want to say the magical moment was when I got engaged, but that happened before the summer. Barely, but still before. So instead, it was when I found the perfect place for my wedding ceremony. Seriously, it’s perfect. It’s this 100+ year old house across the street from the hall where we’re having our reception, and in my absolute dream location.
The most magical part of my summer was going to Europe for the first time…I went to Spain, Italy, Austria, and Germany…everything about the trip was amazing, especially the food!
Magic moment of today! Looking at some gorgeous gladiolas on my table, my happy golden retriever snoozing at my feet while I make grape jelly. Totes magical.
I have TWO magic moments! One was when my two closest friends got married. Oh! I’m so happy for them I could die. and the speeches!
The second was when I found out another close friend was moving to California. So so sad, but SO amazing because it is her dream job and she’s going to ROCK it.
I preordered a copy on amazon. I can’t wait to get it . . . so far your recipes are the only creative ones I can get my fiancé to eat. :)
My most magical moment this summer was when I flew into Chicago for 1 night and was able to visit my sister. She’s 10 years younger than me and we weren’t really close growing up – but have become closer now that we are older which is nice but yet I live in LA and she’s in Chicago. I was in Milwaukee for work and was only given about 18 hours to spend in Chicago before I had to fly out to North Carolina. I was able to spend time with her and took her out for her belated birthday which entailed dinner at Eataly and a river/Lake Michigan boat ride. It was the shortest trip but we were able to connect and bond in that short amount of time than we have in years. It meant so much that I was able to be there for her and just get to know her as a person.

I preordered your book and I HAVE BEEN WAITING MONTHS FOR IT and years since i started reading your blog!! Congrats to you!! xoox
Magical Summer Moment = biking around the beach while the sun went down
My magic moment of the summer will be winning this AMAZING giveaway.
But in the unlikely event that I am not the fortunate winner, the most magic moment will be the cross-country trip I made with a friend to move her to Arizona.
My magic moment is definitely being on the beach in South Carolina with my and my boyfriend’s family–good scenery and good company is always magical!
My magical moment was when my nine year old son told me that I was his best friend even though I’m a grown-up because I “totally act like a kid anyway!”
My favorite magical moment of this summer was taking my daughter for her first real swim, and listening to her SCREAM with joy. She loves being in the water!
My magical moment of the summer was flying to the West Coast and renting a car to drive through Big Sur in California. I had always wanted to make that trip and when I was planning 10 days in the Bay area, I knew I had to make it happen. My boyfriend drove and one of my best friends from high school took a day off from work to come with. It was an all day journey and we drove over 350 miles round trip. I took some amazing pictures. After a tough summer battling an auto-immune disease, it was so nice to have some time off from work to do something I’ve always wanted to do.
My *magical moment* came when I crossed the finish line of my first Duathlon this summer – Run, Bike, Run!!!
My most magical moment this summer was going home (across the country) this July for a reunion with my six siblings. It was the first time in two years that we had all been together. Oh and I met my TWO nieces who were born this April and June :)
My magic moment of the summer was attending my husband’s family reunion in Georgia, North Carolina & South Carolina. I am a Southern California city girl, and although I travel a lot, I was really nervous to go to “The Ole South” for a week and had no idea what to expect. The stereotypes were all there : southern accents, sayings & traditions; heat & humidity, jumping in lakes, tubing, bourbon, beer, boiled peanuts stands, all while you feel like you are in the middle of nowhereville. It is a completely different world. The magic moment was that i couldn’t get enough. I had the best time of the summer and I was so sad to leave.
The most magical moment I’ve had this summer was sitting on a beach with my family, enjoying the summer fun, a few cocktails, and smelling all those temporary summer smells – sand, ocean, and way too much coconut tanning oil.
It is pretty spectacular, and something I look forward to every year.
My magical moment this summer was renting an awesome cottage on Torch Lake in Northern Michigan and enjoying boating, milk shakes, camp fires and s’mores with my family. A glorious week indeed! :-)
We recently moved to Libreville, Gabon in central Africa, and my magical moment(s) this summer has been watching my one year old daughter acclimate and thrive in a completely different place. Knowing that my kid is enjoying the beegeezus out of this place has made moving to a new country so much easier!
My magic moment of the summer is knowing that fall is right around the corner!
My magical moment was going to chatham, ma for a weekend! Got away from work and just sunbathed it up on the beach!
My magical moment this summer was renting a boat for my birthday and spending time on Sarasota’s beautiful blue waters with some favorite friends. (Thank you so much for this opportunity!)
I have pre-ordered your book through Amazon. Can’t wait!
My magical moment was taking my husband to visit my grandfather’s grave on the anniversary of his death. The two never got a chance to meet while my grandfather was alive and it was a very special time for me to be able to introduce them.
My magic summer moment was going to see Dierks Bentley with my husband and then driving back up the mountain during a severe monsoon storm. Didn’t think we would make it back up!!!
My magic moment was walking on the beach in San Diego and watching my kiddos play in the surf as the sun set.
