Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. Just pre ordered my copy of Seriously Delish. CANNOT WAIT! Love all of your recipes!
my fave moment this summer was when me and my puggle snuggled in a hammock during a rest break on a hiking adventure :)
My magic summer moment was spending the day with my daughter at the lake. The warm sun and refreshing lake made for a perfect end to a beautiful summer! Just moved away from Pittsbugh, PA, miss it so much! Pittsburgh people know how to eat!
My magic moment was white water rafting with my daughter.
Happening upon a brand new cinema in London that had TWO full service bars and settling into my seat with the most delicious mimosa known to man.
Also, it was a 2:30pm showing so in the whole of the theater it was me, a few grandmas, and two high schoolers on break.
It’s the simple things: booze, a big screen, and minimal social interaction.
Congrats on your book!
My summer moment was sitting around a campfire with my family and friends and the kids roasting marshmallows for s’mores…lots of laughter and ‘Delish’ food!!
Gardening at my new house!
My favorite moment this summer was when I was walking home from work & turned the corner and my 3-year old daughter came running down the block to me! So sweet, I will never forget the excited look on her face!

It’s been a pretty rough summer for me and my family so I’m still waiting for my magic summer moment to happen and the summer isn’t over yet so I’m hopeful!!
My summer magic moment was having the guy who saved me during a nasty whitewater kayaking incident (burst eardrum, nearly dislocated shoulder) turn out to be the man I fall in love with, and having him (all on his own) decide to move across the country to give our relationship a shot… fairy tale??? yes please! :)
also, ps – we live in Costa Rica, so anytime you want to come visit & teach me how to make all these amazing things you come up with (or just visit!), you are welcome anytime!!! Going online to preorder book now!

My magical moment this summer was watching the practically neon pink painted sky at sunset over Bass Lake surrounded by friends and family!
Summer isn’t here yet – and last summer doesn’t count as it was a bit sad. Winter has been OK, but the best bit has been getting my mobility scooter so now I can go shopping or whatever on my own. Yippee!
I would love your book but at the moment I don’t have the necessary funds – one of the drawbacks of being on a disability pension. Not to worry, it will happen.
Thanks for the great recipes. Some I don’t go for of course, but others sounds so delish I want to jump right in.
My fave moment from this summer was helping to cook a big dinner for my extended family. We only see each other twice a year usually around the holidays . There was great food and family laughs shared
Seriously Delish preordered, for me & my sister for her bday!!!! CANNOT WAIT! Wish I was in the States for your book tour, and really really wish I could get all your amazing ingredients here, but I’ll just have to start experimenting with some of the local produce and see what tropical versions I can come up with :) thanks for being fantastic and always making me laugh, week after week! Congrats on your book!!
Rivertubing in Idaho! Soooo much fun!
My favorite moment this summer was relaxing on the beach in Lake Tahoe and have a Chamber punch afterwards.
After breaking my hand and having surgery on it shortly after the summer began, I was convinced my summer was going to be anything but magical. I was low on self esteem before my hand was obnoxiously casted and demobilized and was trying to get myself back to a positive state of mind, but that seemed almost impossible. However, looking back, I had many magical moments despite this major setback. I was able to see my mom for two weeks, and nothing beats quality mother/daughter time. My best friend came to visit me for a whole week after a year of being apart. She helped me do my hair and buckle my belts, but she also reminded me that a true friend will stay there by your side no matter the distance or the situation. Plus, nothing was going to keep us from dancing the night away at the Tim McGraw concert. My most magical moment would had to be my vacation with my boyfriend, which sounds so cliche. After a year of long distance things were starting to feel different and I felt lost in our relationship. We spent a week and not only did we reconnect and build a stronger relationship, it proved to me that not even being a cripple will keep him from walking away from us. We’re in it for the long haul. A novel and a half later, I guess this summer showed me that people do care about me as much as I care about them and I am blessed to share my life with those people. That was what made this summer magical and allowed me find happiness again.
fav moment of the summer…..spraying my kids with the hose in the yard to their delight and my enjoyment ;)
My magic moment this summer was at one of my best friend’s wedding back in my hometown. It was absolutely perfect, so much fun, and I caught the bouquet toss and my boyfriend caught the bride’s garter! Crazy fun weekend (sorry it was more than a moment…) :)
My magic moment this summer was watching the sunset while swimming at the beach. The water is my happy place!
bringing my baby home to meet family and friends! Love your blog!

My magic moment was sitting on a lounge chair, glass of wine in hand, with my boyfriend listening to live music on the waterfront in Boston.
My magic moment was moving into our new house! It will be even more magical once we finally feel settled in!
My magic moment this summer was my little (ok massive) family vacation to the USA – Disneyland to celebrate my daughters big 5th birthday, 3 days in NYC and finished up rafting down the animas river in Durango CO.
Ahhh good times :)

My magical moment was seeing my dad’s face when i showed him his birthday cake. He turned 50 this year so I made him a giant peanut butter/chocolate cake. He loved it!
I spent so long thinking about magical summer moments that I almost missed the cutoff! Oops.
My girlfriend lives in LA and I live in Boston. I got to visit her in May, when it was still cold here, and enjoy the beach and the sun. Walking along the pier together, wind blowing, ocean everywhere, was one of the best moments of the summer. Meeting (and holding! and hugging!) a baby goat at the farmer’s market there is high up on my list too!
Just ordered your book on Amazon! I cannot wait.
