Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. I pre-ordered your book on amazon! I can’t wait to get it, I absolutely love your blog!
My magical moment was when I helped to create a urban garden in inner city Detroit to help a community have a garden to help ease the burden of the community being a part of a food desert.
I really enjoy your blog. Picking the first veggies out of the garden and picking a squash blossom with a bumble bee in it!
My magical moment of the summer was definitely finding out that we are expecting our second baby in February and celebrating our Fourth of July baby’s second birthday. It was our last weekend as a family before my husband had to leave on military orders so it was extra special!
My magical moment this summer was when I went away camping with my fiances family. We’ve gone every year for the past 11 years and this was the first year his grandfather that recently passed wasn’t there. My fiances mom brought some ashes to spread at the campground. Not even two hours after she did that, there was a huge fireworks display that evening and they’ve never done that there before. It was just so serendipitous and special. I’ll never forget it!
My magic moment was spending a week at Disney World with my husband and his family! I also got to enjoy my first plane ride!
Hiking up to the Harding Ice Field while visiting my best friend in Seward, Alaska. It was the toughest hike I’ve ever done but the view at the top was like nothing I had ever seen before!
I also preordered your book!
My magical moment this summer was when my husband quit his weekend job and took me to the beach! He has had something special planned every weekend since!
My magic moment was last weekend on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan. I was there with great friends and family for a wedding and we all spent a day on a hidden beach enjoying the sun and then driving around the island riding hay bales in the back of a truck. There was cold beer, country music, and a lot of love. (Also, I already pre-ordered your book weeks ago and looking forward to your tour in San Francisco!)
My magic moment: cooking and canning in the kitchen with Dan yesterday!
The most magical moment of my summer was hiking down the cliff at Gliderport in San Diego and walking along the beach as the sun set. I’ve never seen anything like it!

One of my magical moments this summer was the 3 days I got to spend in Park City with my hubby. He had to work but I got to relax and spend a few kid-free nights with just him!
My magical moment from this beautiful season was putting my 10 month old baby to bed, grabbing a few blankets (and the baby monitor), a few homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches, and going with my hubby into our back yard to relax and gaze at the super moon. What a great night! Keep up all your amazing work.
Mine was the day I finished taking the bar exam. Knowing I was finally free to experience all of the fun of summer after being stuck inside studying for months was such a magic moment! It’s been a month since that day and it’s been one of the best summers ever. I have to mention: seeing an update on your blog was always a good pick-me-up during my hermit-like study months!

My magical moment from this summer was dancing to my favorite Keith Urban song with my best friend at his concert a few weeks ago. Such a blast!
My magical summer moment was finding out that I am officially a college senior. After transferring my junior year AND changing my major from accounting to English and losing like 9000 credits, I’d basically accepted the fact that I wasn’t graduating any time soon. However, I’ve worked my ass off and managed to get back on track and am only a semester behind (opposed to the year I was expecting) and am much much happier than I used to be so yeah…it was a pretty great moment.
My magic moment from the summer was hosting a Sunday brunch for my friends, celebrating my rescue dog’s second birthday. It was so nice to relax with friends, mimosas, and cupcakes while all of our dogs played!! =]
