Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic summer moment was very simple, actually. A quiet summer evening in Iowa, sitting outside with my in-laws as the men threw the pigskin around, the sun setting behind tall rolling fields of corn and the lightening bugs all coming out at once. It was quintessential Iowa, and it was glorious.
My magic moment this summer was probably eating a poutine grilled cheese at a food truck rally in the sweltering florida sun, then cooling off with a black lager and a round of pool at a nearby dive bar, cueing up favorite songs on the jukebox. Perfect night.
My magic moment is bittersweet and I apologize in advance if it’s a Debbie Downer. One week after our one year wedding anniversary (August 3rd), I was rushed into emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy and we lost our 10 week old baby in addition to several of my lady parts with a long 8-10 week recovery period ahead of me. The magic part is where my amazing husband has stepped up and been there for me throughout it all. Back-rubs, support groups, late night pharmacy runs, doing all the cooking and the cleaning and even bringing a picture of our beloved dog up to the hospital so the first thing I would see after surgery was the picture of him and our pup pinned to the ceiling in the recovery room. Despite this horrific, tragic thing that happened, it’s made me appreciate what I DO have all that much more.
Going to the state fair and spending an entire day looking at animals, people, and crazy fair food.
Wow! My magic summer moment was my first dip in the ocean with my best friends in the world. Second place magic moment was taking off in a plane to go abroad

My magic moment was my little sisters wedding a few weeks ago!
My magical moment this summer started when my boyfriend said he was going to make me dinner. When it was time to eat, he led me to the backyard where he had a bonfire going, tiki torches lit, and a table with flowers, shrimp, steak, onions, etc. We cooked over the fire and had s’mores for dessert with strawberries and bananas. For the third course, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said, “Are you serious?” And then, of course, said, “Yes!”
My magic moment is eating buttery fried seafood and spending all my time on the beach!
My magic moment was looking out over the beach near my house and feeling a rush of appreciation and love for it and living where I live.
My magic moment from this summer was the first time I cooked myself dinner in my new apartment. I just graduated from college this May and moving into a place of my own has been such an amazing big-girl thing for me! While I know I’ll continue to have many more magic moments in this apartment over the next year, that first night amidst unpacking was really special.

Wow… How generous of you!! Thanks for the opportunity. My magic moment was hunting for turtle egg nets with my daughters (ages 7&9). While we didn’t find any new nests that had been laid, waking up at dawn and walking 3 MIL’s along the beach with my girls will be treasured memory forever.
a wonderful week in tahoe with my family!
My magic moment was this past weekend at the lake with our good friends. I hadn’t been tubing since I was a child! It was so refreshing to just let go for a day.
gasp, what an amazing giveaway! My magical moment: my husband and I live in China for most of the year, and we came home for the summer in June. Stepping into Target for the first time is always a starry-eyed time of joy. I mean, obviously spending time with family and friends is more important and “magical” in a deeper sense, but that first Target visit (also, first salad with goat cheese ermagersh) is hard to beat on a surface excitement level.
My magic moment was most definitely getting married to my high school sweetheart! We’ve been together through many ups and downs over the past 7 years, and it was just so incredible to get to stand in front of our loved ones and commit ourselves to each other for the rest of our lives! Close second goes to my favorite lunch on our honeymoon – ice cold Oberon and big-as-your-face pulled pork sandwiches overlooking Lake Michigan on a beautiful Michigan summer day.
Moving to NJ – crossing the state line on a gorgeous summer evening while listening to Bruce. Excited for new beginnings!
My favorite moment this summer is spending time at the beach with old and new friends!
My magic moment is right now on vacation in Seattle with my best friends, totally being inspired to open my own brewery or coffee shop or bakery (or a combination of all three?). This place just makes me want to take risks.
My magic moment was just an ordinary weekend with my husband and one-year-old son– walking to the farmers market, eating fresh donuts, and spending all day together. I love watching them play, it fills my heart with crazy love!
My honeymoon in Seattle! A week straight of seafood and fun.
I signed up for a 10k at the end of September. I’ve never run further than 3 miles. My moment was when I ran 4 and I felt good. I’d succeeded at mind over matter. Can’t wait to complete this challenge and start working on a new one! Thanks!
My magic moment this summer was getting to celebrate my sister’s engagement and being asked to be Maid of Honor.
Spending time with my family at Panama City Beach Fl..
Oh! And I just preordered on Amazon. Hopefully will have you sign in Philly! Will probably also buy copious amounts of cheese at DiBruno Bros….
I had a lot of magic moments travelling this summer, but the most magic of all was being reunited with my boyfriend in the airport in the end. Sappy but true!

My magical moment this summer…. I got to marry the coolest, hottest, nicest guy EVER! Boy, oh boy, even if I don’t win this giveaway, I already won the jackpot when I said “I do” to my Mr. Bush!!! <3 :-)
My magic summer moment was the food truck street festival in Seattle earlier this month. Can’t wait for Seriously Delish!!!!
Traveling to italy and Switzerland was the highlight of my summer….heck, of my whole life!!!!!

My magic summer moment was at the beginning of August. Dinner at a SWEET restaurant downtown outside, followed by drinks and dancing with my best buds. Perfect night was perfect. Also any time I had ice cream and sat outside it’s like the sunset was made for me. You know? GIMME DAT ICE CREAM NOW.
Connecting with myself again all summer!
I also pre-ordered the cookbook on the first day you published the post with the pre-order information!! Can’t WAIT!
My magic moment will actually be tomorrow. My five-year-old son, who has autism, will be starting school and will be able to be in a regular classroom. He has worked so hard over the past two years in all of his therapies and it is paying off for him. Could not be more proud of him!
Thank you so much for this amazing giveaway! Your photography and creativity in your recipes blows me away everyday and I’m sure your book will be just as great. My magic moment this summer was just being with my family and da irving every moment with them.
My magic moment this summer was when I pulled myself out of a what-am-I-going-to-do-with-my-life depression and, with the help of this blog (among others), taught myself how to cook. I went from a could barely cook pasta take-out orderer to my family’s favorite chef. And as a resut of my no longer eating frozen pizzas feel 100% healthier. So thank YOU Jessica!
My magic moment of the summer was getting engaged at the top of a beautiful hike in Colorado!!
My magic moment was watching fireworks with my close friends and my man at a music festival in Vegas. It’s something I can’t begin to put into words… the music, the fireworks, the dancing for hours at night, and just being surrounded with so much love and happiness!
