Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. AND, I pre-ordered your cookbook from Amazon :)
The most magical moment for me this summer came Fourth of July weekend. For starters, my husband was home and work free for two consecutive days!! My babies were besides themselves!! We spent lazy days at the pool, had friends over and cooked so much food I thought I’d burst. On the fourth, we made a fire and were able to watch the local fireworks from our back yard. As my sweet four year old daughter made her first over the fire s’more, she looked at us and said ‘this is the best day ever’ ! It was such a simple weekend but it meant the world to my little family. Our vacation got cancelled due to work, but I still felt like I had ‘gotten away’ by just being with my people. That, and I basically ate my body weight in various forms of pork. :)
Magic Moment/Greatest LIfe Accomplishment :) I potty-trained my (strong-willed) daughter in July.
Watching the sun set on the beach with my hubby on a much needed adult vacation

My magic summer moment was sitting on the beach at a private lagoon in Hawaii. I had never seen a more beautiful place in my life. The ocean was several colors of turquoise and the sky was as blue as I’d ever seen it. It was a special moment where I felt peace. I will carry it with me for a long time.
My magic moment was crossing the finish line at Ironman Coeur D’Alene and then having a week long vacation driving to Seattle, Portland along the Oregon coast, California coast and ending up in Sonoma. I am so thankful we planned a week long trip after the race. We could indulge and relax and not feel guilty about it! Standing on the beach in Oregon and seeing the sunset is something I will never forget.

My magic moment this summer happened late, the second week of August. I had had a long, lonely and busy summer and was emotionally drained. My magic moment was two days long, really, but they were two days in which half of the time I spent walking alone through Mexico City (my favorite city in the world), eating at places I had never eaten before. The other half of those two days I spent doing the walking with friends and getting hugged a lot. After those two days I felt like myself again and it all had to do with reconnecting with myself and those I love.
My magic summer moment was sitting by myself on a secluded beach the day after I took the bar exam. It was some much needed calm after some stormy weeks of balancing studying and my full-time job. Pure bliss!

My magic moment was this morning actually! I was sitting on the deck at our cottage in Prince Edward Island (Canada), and it was finally a beautiful sparkling morning after days of rain.
