Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. Magical Moment: getting engaged to the perfect gentleman on a beautiful hike!
My magical moment of the summer was when I decided to delete my Facebook. The closest I ever got to changing my priorities was when I announced that I was doing so. It was a weakness for me that replaced really living. I so appreciate life without Facebook and hope to continue until I find myself independent from it. Oh, and I also preordered your book! I cannot wait for it to arrive. You’re an inspiration!
And I’ve had the cookbook pre-ordered for months now, can’t wait to get my paws on it!
My magic moment was when I went to a Phillies game and FINALLY caught a ball! Best time ever! [:
My favorite part of summer is two fold, the incredible outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking that then work up the appetite for the incredible summer foods (the best being grilled pizza) eaten lazily on patios.
Magic moment: road tripping with my mom for a family reunion and seeing people I haven’t seen in almost 20 years!

We have magic moments every Monday night – my husband and I work as sous chefs together, but only really have Monday nights off together (not at work) and we go on date nights to delicious restaurants. It’s magical to eat food we haven’t cooked, it’s amazing to be served once a week when we spend all week serving our guests. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

Adopting our puppy, Ruby!

And I pre-ordered in July :)
My magic moment for the summer just happened – I hosted a summer/into fall feast for complete strangers – and was a great evening! Love connecting with people through food! Thank you!
Talking to someone as passionate about food as I am as we wait in the beautiful, but unknown, redwoods as her son and my dad run off to try to find my brother, who got lost in the woods. She had the most beautiful calming voice, and she was almost more excited about my future (in culinary) than I was (I said Almost). I don’t usually have such a connection with adults, but she is someone I can look back on, knowing I probably won’t see her again, but also knowing that after just one hour talking to her, she made a huge impact on me.
Happiest moments of the summer: doing new things with my boyfriend! Breweries, restaurants, anything just us because we NEVER go on dates!
My magic moment was growing my first garden! It was so exciting to see things come up after weeks of watering and waiting. Now I have more cucumbers and kale than I know what to do with!

Sitting in my backyard wnjoying our fire pit with cocktails in hand, bliss!
My five-year-old daughter wanted to grow watermelon this summer and make watermelon slushies. Last week I picked our first sweet delicious watermelon from our garden (what weighed a whopping 29 lbs!) and we made the best slushies ever. It’s priceless to help my kids check off their bucket lists.
Fireworks at my in-laws’ lake house in Michigan. Hours and hours and hours of fantastically beautiful explosions!
