Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. I’m pretty sure my magic moment will be Wednesday when I get married, eeeeeeek so soon!
Magical Moment: a few days spent in Sonoma with my best friends. Working in the crazy fast pace biotech world in Mass, this was the first time in a while that I allowed myself to be laid back and enjoy every moment of what Sonoma had to offer and cherished the time spent with friends. I now constantly crave the picnic lunches we enjoyed in the park consisting of cured meats, cheeses, spreads, fresh fruit and of course wines that were purchased from the wineries.
I also pre-ordered your book. I am SO excited that it’s coming soon :)
My magical moment of the summer was an awesome thunder/lightning/rainstorm we had just this past Friday. My favorite weather and it was so beautiful!
Whoops! Forgot to say my magic summer moment was visiting Paris with my husband!
My magic moment(s) would be the week I spent in Mt. Rainier national park, the amazing hikes with breathtaking views and drinking coffee while watching deer walk around the yard of our cabin in the morning.
My magical moment this summer was when my husband and I vacationed alone (with the exception of the bundle of joy in utero), and the first time we have ever left our kids. I missed them like heck, but I survived and I didn’t think I would make it out of the house let alone 4 days! It was pure magic!
My magical moment was when our trivia team traveled to upstate New York to celebrate a teammate’s wedding. Between the food, open bar, and dancing, we all had the best time.

One of my favorite times this summer was when my boyfriend visited from Mexico for three and half weeks. It made me miss him even more after he left but we had some great moments together.
So proud of you and the foodie journey that you have taken all of us on. I hope this will be one of your best years ever with the book and the baby =). Glad we can share in your journey.
The best part of my summer I would have to say has been quitting my full time job to pursue something that i LOVE. I left the comfort of a nice paycheck, healthcare and managing a department to humbling myself and working at Bed and Breakfast. I was a rough start due to the seemingly obvious change in my paycheck and just in general.. but I AM IN LOVE. I am looking to get as much experience as i possibly can so that I can open up my own BnB one day and serve come Seriously Delish stuff.
Cheers

Congrats once again on everything, Jess! I have loved visiting your blog and making your recipes and sharing in your quirky, delightful sense of humor for years now. I’m so thrilled at where this has taken you — and that you have remained humble and down-to-earth through it all.
OK! My magic moment of the summer was celebrating my twin daughters’ first birthday. They are the lights and loves of my life and I just cannot even believe they are 1 year old — and that my husband and I have survived one year of parenting twin girls. We celebrated with a hot dog bar, cupcakes and friends and family. It was perfect.
My magical moment this summer I think was the fact that I was able to let go and enjoy it. I am a kindergarten teacher so am lucky enough to get my summers off, but usually spend them working a second job and doing planning work for the next school year. This summer I was finally able to unwind and find joy in the simple pleasures of the season….walking around the farmer’s market, strolling along Lake Michigan, baking a pie, or taking my dog to the park. I am grateful for every minute.
I preordered your book last month and am anxiously awaiting its arrival :)

My son is starting school in September (1 week) so we’ve spent the summer creating the best memories going to castles, caves, woods, parks, play areas, beaches, lots of cooking together and of course eating hehe…pretty much everything! My boy is my world and as hard as it is to see him head off to school, I’m mighty proud of the perfect young man he’s turning into :))
My magic moment this summer, was taking the first step in changing careers. I have had the same job for over 15 years and recently they’re is no longer any enjoyment in going to work. With the help of my brother i have begun taking courses in proofreading and copyediting. It has always been a dream to work in the book publishing industry. Just from my brother’s help i feel like the world is mine to take.
My magic moment was when I hit 7 miles in my 1/2 marathon training. Before training, I hadn’t run more than 5mi. 7mi finally felt like a “long” run, and made me feel like I’m going to be able to do this thing!
