Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. I adore you to pieces. (and if you preordered months ago, thank you and leave your second comment!) Also, be sure to check my book tour dates to see if I’ll be in your area!
The giveaway will run until this Friday, August 29. The winner will be announced on this post and contacted by email. THANK YOU!

My magic moment, was probably watching my daughter’s first ever swim lessons in the lake every day for 2 weeks. The weather was perfect, and it forced me to sit and just watch her interacting with the teacher and other kids for 30mins every day.
My magic moment was getting to spend time with my mom when she visited me in Chicago and taking her around the city!
My magic moment was finding out that we were having a girl!
My most magical moment was just a lot of little moments spent with my almost 14 month old daughter… It’s magical watching them learn & grow, literally almost from moment to moment.
i had a truly magical summer but one of the most memorable moments would seem completely mundane to everyone else- the first bite from a bowl of plain greek yogurt with fresh raspberries mixed in.
i live in indonesia, where greek yogurt is $25 and raspberries are even more than that, so i only eat them when i’m home in boston in the summer. it had been a year, and that first bite was
so.
freakin.
good.
sweet and tart and every bit as delicious as i wanted it to be.
(and i never win anything but just in case i do, my mail gets sent to a DPO address, which isn’t quite as pricey as sending to an indonesian address.)
My magic moment this summer was relaxing on my patio, drinking a wonderfully fruity white wine reading the new Emily Giffin book. Life doesn’t get much better than that.
Two weeks ago when my six month old daughter finally slept through the night! Trust me, you’ll see the magic in that soon enough.
My magic moment was watching the sun rise with a perfect rainbow in the sky from a boat in the middle of the North Sea. I was working so this made the day a whole lot better!
My most amazing moment came just this week when I fit into a size XL, in the regular size section. I had weight loss surgery in March and I went from a 4x to now an XL, and I expect to keep going down. I haven’t weighed this little since high school. Also? Type II diabetes and high blood pressure are both gone.
*squee*
All of these look awesome! You have great taste :)
My magic moment was chilling with some chewy potato chip chocolate chip cookies! As someone who used to just buy packaged cookies these made me a believer in homemade. I can only imagine what else I would find inside your cookbook.
The first thing that comes to mind is taking a trip east to visit my old college town and old friends, and picking up my thesis while I was there. Pretty exciting to get a bound book with your name on it…..although mine is less pretty/exciting than yours by far ha!
My magical moment from the summer was when my son was born in July!
When my man and I were driving home from a short shopping trip to Sweden, and started talking about how we met three years ago, and reminiscing about our first dates, laughing and talking about first impressions. We both agreed there hadn’t been a single second of regret about each other
My magic moment was relaxing by the river in Germany with some (finally) summer weather. Walking and riding my bike in the sunshine and eating a pizza and drinking a beer by the river. Wonderful!
I had a really nice summer so it’s difficult to pick just one. I think going to an observatory in Hawaii with my husband was the most magical…we saw the rings on Saturn through a phenomenal telescope.
My magic moment was my beautiful, intelligent, and athletic daughter becoming a teenager this summer. We celebrated with a bonfire and s’mores at the beach, then she told me how important it was to her to maintain a great relationship with me through her teenage years… so she wanted to plan a set mommy-daughter date every month. I almost cried because I was so touched by her insight and love. I love these magical moments you tuck away and cherish, they make me smile!
My magic moment was having someone moon me while seeing the Golden Gate Bridge for the first time with my best friend in the whole world!
I just preordered a cookbook…can’t wait!
Oh man! My most magical summer memory is sipping on my fourth Aperol spritz at sunset in the back streets of Trastavere with my favourite person in the world.
I wish I could bottle that chilled out, utterly satisfied with life feeling! The memory brings it back to me now :)
Magic moment of the summer was hands-down the most random moment of the summer as well. My roommate and I were at the grocery and randomly decided halfway through shopping that our purchases would be best appreciated during a beach picnic. So we promptly drove to the beach and had one of the best Sunday afternoons of the year.
For me it has been magical every minute I have spent with my boyfriend. There have been so many unexpected and magical plans going on!! :)
My magical moment of the summer was trying the not yet released super secret fall Oreo flavor :) What can I say, I love oreos AND everything about this flavor! ;)
My moment was when I went to and was a part of my best friend’s wedding at Union Hill Inn in Sonora, CA. We had the entire property to ourselves for three days and it was just gorgeous and full of charm! That trip inspired us (my husband and I) to take more trips up to northern CA in the future, and appreciate nature and the outdoors!
My magic moment was travelling to Taiwan with most of my family to see my brother marry my lovely sister-in-law. What an amazing trip that was!
I had several magical moments this summer, because people I rarely see saw me and realized I’ve lost a serious amount of weight.
I still have some magical moments coming since I still need to go on my trip, but one thing i’ll definitely remember is my grandma having her last chemo :) she’ll never be declared cancer-free, but they told her she had one more year to live when they discovered it and after chemo and an operation, she’ll def live 2 years langer! Yay for medicine :)
My magic moment was when my husband and I finally fell in love with Hawai’i, after a very difficult time moving here. I feel lucky every day now.
My magic moment was in the Caribbean, when I was snorkeling with sharks and rays. I truly think it was a one-in-a-lifetime experience to be up close with those animals, even touching and handfeeding them.
Teaching my little buddy to swim.
My magical moment this summer was being present for my nephew’s birth on July 4th after my sister was in labour for 48 hours. Simply amazing!
My magical moment this summer was when my youngest daughter got married and I realized how truly happy she was that day…
My magic moment was moving to Germany with my husband for a new job. I am constantly looking at your recipes and deciding on which ones I can actually make here (sigh, US grocery stores are such a dream). I pre-ordered your book and will pick it up when I visit home in a few weeks!
My favorite moment from the summer was seeing my grandmother for the first time in a very long time. :)
My magic moment was finding out I was pregnant last week after a miscarriage last year and trying for 9 months!
I had my first baby this summer!
So generous! This all looks amazing! My magic moment was doing yoga on the deck of our rented lake house while on a ladies’ vacation in the early morning. So revitalizing! Why don’t I do that every day??
My most magical moment was definitely when my boyfriend and I finally found a house we loved within our budget after searching for many, many months! And I’m sure we’ll have many more magical moments in that house :)
The most exciting moment of my summer was the birth of my second baby on July. Exciting because babies are awesome, and also because this guy made a dramatic entrance. He’s the reason I’m reading blogs at 4:30am!
I’d have to say my most magical moment this winter-not-summer for me was probably going home and seeing my Mum and Dad for the first time in months. Being able to talk with them again, and both being the spoilt youngest child (but also hopefully helping out a bit around the house, haha), it was definitely the highlight of the past three months for me.
It is nearing the end of winter here in New Zealand, but my favourite last summer moment was encountering a swimming penguin while out kayaking!
My magic moment from summer was having my first blog birthday! I finally finished my exams, got my results then whisked off to Reading Festival! How fab!
Thanks for the amazing giveaway Jessica! <3 SO MUCH LOVE!!
My magic moment was finding out I was pregnant, roundabout the time you posted your exciting news! So was super stoked to know that there would be someone else going through the same stuff and posting about it :).
I’m also in the Southern Hemisphere (South Africa), so I’m waiting patiently for those beautiful warm summer days – but the other magic moments are when the suns pops out to give us a sneak preview of what’s ahead!
My magic moment this summer was 29th of July at the national day in the Faroe Islands. I grew up there, but for the last five years I’ve been living in another country. So at this national day at midnight, there’s Midnight Singing. Faroese population is about 48,000 and almost 15,000 people were gathered to sing faroese traditional songs. There I was pouring my heart out with my best friends and the faroese nation. It was pure magic!
So excited for the book, can’t wait!
My magic moment has been graduating university and hopefully the next one will be finding a job!! :)
Sitting on the balcony, having a BBQ and getting a phone call that there is a room for one night on that little island Sylt. It’s like a jackpot because normally rooms and apartments are booked out for months during the summer. It was great! We spend a lovely short weekend on that island (bit like Nantucket) and it was so hot.
My magic moment was going to Denver to see my cousin get married. The weekend was full of laughs and great memories with my family.
my favorite ‘moment’ was a day when me and my boyfriend went to a nearby town and all though we didn’t go on a ‘real’ vacation to another country, that day gave me that special real vacation feeling. We didn’t do much but swim in the river, eat pancakes and walk around, but it was pretty much perfect. I will remember it for years.
That said, this is am amazing giveaway!!! :)
My magic moment was sitting by the Seine river in Paris and eating fresh local cheese, baguettes and wine with my husband. Unbeatable!
SO incredibly excited for your book. I think this is the first book I’ve ever preordered!
