Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. My magic moment was seing my sister again. She has been out with the sailing Ship Georg Stage, as part of the crew. And we didn’t have any contact for four months, so it was so wonderful to see her again.
This entire summer has been a bit magical. The babes are now 1, 2 and 4. I didn’t have a baby to cart around, so it was delightful to be able to do the zoo, parks, Santa’s Village, and everyone had a blast. It just keeps getting better and better. In a few weeks, my husband get to ditch the kids for a week long cruise together. The kids will be spoiled by the grandparents, and we will get to spend some uninterrupted time together.
I preordered forever ago. Girl, my best friend and I (who is across the country), are always texting your recipes, your fave beauty posts, etc. We have girl crushes! ;)

My magical moment was spending this whole summer making memories with our 7 month old son. We went to Disneyland, visited my grandparents and enjoyed the pool with cousins
My magic moment from this summer = boxing in NYC with Michael Olajide, Jr., a former boxing champion and current trainer to everyone from Victoria’s Secret models to actors like Hugh Jackman. It was a challenging but super fun workout, and I really stepped out of the box with it (no pun intended).
My magic moment was hearing that my son, who is in the military, will be moving closer to home. It will be great to be able to see him more than once or twice a year.
Hmmmmm, I would say my most magical summer moment was experiencing summer in the south! We moved from California to North Carolina and it’s been amazing!
Last October I traveled to the Isle of Jersey. The belief has always been that our family immigrated from Jersey but there has never been confirmation. I fell in love with the island. LOVE!!!
My father did DNA testing this summer. My magical moment was confirmation that we are indeed from Jersey. Testing even tied us in to a specific family line. Even more exciting was the fact that I had met some of these people.
PURE MAGIC!

<3
My magic moment was painting the mural in the room for my new niece or nephew…and hearing my brother’s reaction to said room. He is so happy with it so far, and it isn’t even done yet!
I ordered your book! CANNOT WAIT!
My husband and I live abroad and we had a baby boy 4 months ago! My most magic moment of the summer was our 5 week trip to the States and Canada where we were lucky enough to introduce Ronen Simcha (which means joyous song in Hebrew) to his 5 great-grandparents and see his 4 grandparents again!
Magic moment: I was asked to direct the premiere production of an original play by Central Valley author Ken White. The play was called “Migrant Mother,” and is based on the iconic photograph of the same name, by Dorothea Lange. The play focuses on the personal histories of both Lange and Florence Owens Thompson, the subject of the photo. After the actress playing Lange had a serious injury, I had to take over the role. Opening night & each subsequent performance was magical: the audiences were breathless and inspired, and every night we did a talkback with myself, the other two actors, the playwright……and the grandaughter-in-law of the Migrant Mother herself!! Seriously! Oleta Kay Sprague—who married Florence’s grandson, and who has written a book about the iconic photograph—was at every show. It was amazing, to be part of a historical experience like that.
Most Amazing moment…the smile on my daughters face when I picked her up after she spent 3 weeks in Chicago!!!!
We found out we are expecting!!
Ahh! I ordered the book back when you announced it . My magic moment for this summer was seeing my grandparents with all their kids and grandkids on the beach in Hawaii for their 50th wedding anniversary. I’ll always remember that trip and of course THE FOOD!
I recently moved from my childhood suburb home and bought a house in the city with my husband. As I turned onto my street one late night coming home from work, I realized there were hundreds on fire flies by my house and in my backyard! I grew up in the south where fireflies were abundant and when I moved to New York the only time I saw them was if j was in th e backwoods. Seeing fire flies in my backyard makes me feel like magic is real!
