Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. The best moment? Oh gosh… Well I surely loved getting to see God do neat things in my group of friends this summer!
My magical moment this summer was a day of celebration of my Dad’s life. My Father passed away this past January. He lived his life on his own terms;an extraordinary man but would never ever think he was anything but ordinary. He did not want a funeral . So instead of gathering in the midst of the polar vortex , we planned a celebration of his life in August, his birth month.
The party for Eddie was at my house. Family, friends gathered, food and drink abundant. But most of all laughter and the realization that we are only on this Earth for a glimpse. We told Eddieism’s( Ed’s unique way of putting things) . One standout was one of the times he was in the hospital a nurse asked “Ed what do you drink?”. He replied, “vodka.” Nurse,”with?” Ed, “With Ice!”
My special moment this summer was my wedding! It was the most magical night I could have ever dreamed of.. I wish I could do it all over again! <3
Spending every Saturday morning at the local market with my 2 1/2 year old nephew. Seeing him be so excited about picking fruit, veggies, and snacks was always so much fun!

My magic moment was a perfect beach day that was just the right temperature, perfect water/waves, a good book and capped off with seafood, wine and ice cream!
My magical moment this summer was taking our 6 month old daughter to the beach and watching her splash and giggle in the water.
Spending time in my garden has been the most magical part of my summer. I live in an apartment so I have no outdoor space and don’t get to spend a lot of time in nature. But I have a plot in a community garden and it is so fulfilling to spend time out there and watch my plants thrive – not to mention the delicious fresh veggies!
My magic moment was starting a whole new chapter in a new state with my husband. We picked up our entire life and moved from NY to Michigan to pursue a new adventure. Never stop dreaming!
My Magic moment this summer was taking our 9 month old daughter to the beach for the first time. She LOVED it, and giggled with every wave that came in. It’s so much fun watching her experience everything for the first time.
My magical moment was being able to share in the joy of a close friend’s pregnancy announcement! So awesome!
My brother’s wedding this summer! An amazing weekend!

Being in Northern Michigan with my family, watching thekids play in the lake and not having a care in the world! :)
I preordered the book and CANNOT wait for it to arrive!!!
I was inspired by you to make a summer bucket list — I had so much fun putting it together! One of the items on the list was a visit to Wrigley Field. I’m not a big sports girl, and even though I’ve lived in Chicagoland forever, I had never gone to Cubs park. (I know — what????) So, my husband (of 35 years this Tuesday — he’s a keeper!) decided to play along and arranged a surprise date day (and invited one of my best friends and her husband) to Wrigley Field — Cubs vs. Cards. The magical moment was walking up the steps and seeing the field for the first time: green grass, vine-covered wall, bright blue sky! It’s just as beautiful as everyone says it is! (And of course we had popcorn, hotdogs and beer!) Thanks for the bucket list nudge! :)
I got to see The Vandals, Pennywise, and Bad Religion backstage this summer. It was so awesome.
My magical moment from this summer was hosting an engagement party luau for my friends and family. We have never been able to wrangle both of our families in one place, but for some reason this summer worked out! Thanks for the giveaway!
This summer I got to watch two of my good friends from college get married. It’s been a long time coming for them so that was one of my most magical moments from this summer!

My most magical moment was picking my sister up from the airport, because it was the first time I got to see her pregnant with her first baby. And then I got to throw her a shower at my new house. It was one of those moments I’ve daydreamed about for so long that it was truly surreal. And now I’m going to cry because I miss her.
My most magical moment of the summer was climbing up to the top of Pike’s Peak. It was the most breathtaking hike I’ve been on today and I felt so accomplished to be at the top knowing that my body had taken me there!
My magic moment was when we found out our twins due in October would be twin boys. This fall I will become a mom to three boys (Once the twinkies arrive and join their big brother) and I couldn’t be more excited about the lego, truck / car, sweaty clothes, sports items infested house I’m soon to have.
The most magical part of my summer was living the dream in New York City with my boyfriend and my internship!
As silly as this sounds, the whole summer has been magical. Lots of family time, lots of margaritas and hanging out with friends, and lots of laughs. I’m looking forward to my vacation this fall, and for summer, just loving life. Can’t wait for the book, Jessica!

As a child I often played in the fields and climbed cliffs barefooted. As a girl scout, I camped and hiked all throughout the woods. As an adult, I cut grass , pull weeds and continue to explore the great outdoors. But my magical moment this summer really was not so magical! I came in contact with poison oak. On top on that I have extremely sensitive skin , so the blisters and red angry rash became quite the ordeal. I also had a reaction to the medication so it was long pants and long sleeves for me this summer. Not the happy camper but I do have a new-found awareness of the perils of poison oak.
Also, can’t wait to see you in NY with my copy of your book :)
Aww, this is awesome! My magic summer moment was coming back from Afghanistan, this time for good, and settling back into real life with my wonderful husband. So excited for the book (I preordered already and sent you an email), thanks for all the inspiration you share with me!
