Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. HI Jessica, I’ve commented a few times but you might remember most that I was the one who showed you autographed pictures of Daniel Craig for our kids after you spoke on your blog about your husband’s admiration for him. Hey, I’ve got a plan…if you have a boy, you could name him Alex or Ryan, or if you have a girl, you could name her Anna, and then you can have the autographed picture for your sweet little one!! Anyway, my magical moment this summer has been watching the three of them play together so well (ages 10, 7, 6) and soak up this kind, considerate and empathetic relationship they have for each other. It may not last forever, but for as long as they have been together it has been blissful, and it makes me so happy that they consider their siblings their best friends. And OF COURSE I ordered your book months ago!! In Canada, we can order it from http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/seriously-delish-150-recipes-for/9780544176492-item.html?ikwid=seriously+delish&ikwsec=Home&ikwidx=0 Enjoy this last trimester, and wishing you and Eddie all the best.
My magic moment this summer was finding out I’m pregnant! :) Congrats on yours as well!
My favorite moment happened yesterday when my husband and I bought our first really substantial piece of art for our retirement home in Las Cruces, NM. I have been yearining for it for at least ten years since our first visit to Santa Fe. At that time we were just getting serious about building a retirement home in the Southwest after living in the St. Louis area our entire married life. My husband didn’t even like the oil on canvas title “The Protector” by an artist named Carole LaRoche but I kept going back to her gallery every trip and looking at it. Yesterday we went to another gallery to look at a piece by another artist but they also carried LaRoche. And for some reason, all of a sudden he could visualize “The Protector” anchoring our great room and pulling the whole space together. I wish I could attach a picture to this but you can find the piece on her website. So the picture is hung and I hardly slept all night because I couldn’t wait to see it in daylight! So happy!
I live in FL and the hot-mugginess here is overshadowing my ability to pick a shining moment – lol. I’d have to say I really enjoyed spending extra times with friends that were moving off to new states to start exciting jobs and new chapters in their lives.
