Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. I’ve had quite a good summer so there are a few buuuut, nothing can top squishy babies, so I will have to say it was being in the hospital with my bestie and her husband as she gave birth to her first little one. Just an amazing amount of love in that room – certainly magical.
My magic moment hasn’t happened yet, but I am anticipating it will happen on Saturday because I”M GETTING MARRIED!

My magic moment this summer was when my boyfriend proposed to me the day before our 3 year anniversary. I am beyond excited at the fact that I get to spend the rest of my life with a man who loves me for exactly who I am and makes me laugh.
My magic moment was actually yesterday – floating on tubes/rafts in the Chesapeake Bay with my best girlfriends.
My magic moment was my family trip to northern michigan. Every year we rent a house on lake michigan. My favorite place!
My magic moment from this summer was the birth of my second child, Isabel. What made it even more special was introducing her to her 4 year old brother, Owen. The excitement and magic in Owen’s eyes was unlike anything I have ever witnessed. Watching them over the last 3 months has been a true joy. And when she smiles at Owen, it makes my heart melt even more.
My magic moment.. I haven’t heard anything from my only child, my son, for 10 years. I sent a pretty innocent birthday card, he’s 24, and quoted a line from our favourite book, signing ‘love, your mother’. Let it go. I almost fell over when I checked the mail, and there’s a letter from him! And its GOOD!! We are back in contact! Not much could be better!!
My magic moment was successfully defending my dissertation (woohoo!) and moving to a new city to start my dream job as an assistant professor.
Also, I pre-ordered your book the moment you announced it!
My magical summer moment is spending the day at my family’s lake cabin. :)
I just pre-ordered from Amazon. And yes I am already planning the layout of one of my bookshelves around your book, although I’m guessing the book will be spending a lot of time in the kitchen too :)

My magical moment this summer was finding out I was pregnant with mine and my husbands first little one! It was completely overwhelming. Then, a few weeks later, get to see his/her heartbeat was the greatest feeling in the world.
There were a couple for me. Seeing my son finish really well on all 6 of his 4-H projects this year at the County Fair and seeing 3 of those projects go on to the State Fair and place well. The other one was the birth of my new niece. :-) I enjoy your posts! Thanks!

There have been a few magical moments this summer but one of them was seeing Pittsburgh with my boyfriend and learning to cook burgers with you back in June! We LOVED your city and can not wait to go back and to eat at Meat and Potato’s again! Another magical moment was welcoming my new nephew into the world in July, so special. See you in Sept. for your signing! :)

My magic moment this summer was celebrating my birthday with all of my friends this past weekend!
I think my Magic Moment this year was pulling a 25th surprise wedding anniversary party on my parents. I’m typically terrible at surprise parties because I can’t keep my mouth shut BUT this year we managed to pull it off so when they came in and realized we had invited people that hadn’t seen in years, that was the best.
My magic moment this summer came on election day. I spent all summer working very hard on a campaign and on election day all the hard work, long hours, and sweating it out at the polls paid off!
My magic moment was hiking all day across pebbly riverbeds and steep dirt hills with my mom and brother to see this magnificent waterfall in the middle of nowhere Canada.

The best moments of summer have been feeling my baby kick (i’m due in november, our kids will be so close in age!), spending lots of time hanging out with my husband and dogs, and taking a long weekend to DC with my hubby for our last hoorah as just us two!
Preordered your book too!!!!!!
My magic moment this summer was starting to harvest my first ever garden!
Wahooo!
My boyfriend bought me THREE LOAVES of artisan, wood oven fired bread [one for sammies, one sticky, gooey and sweet, and one cheesy] and took me to the beach for a picnic. Boyfriend who knows the way to my heart is through my stomach?! Magic moment!!
My ‘magic moment’ this summer was laying on the beach with my husband, watching the sun set and thinking of no where else i’d rather be and no one else i’d rather be with.
My magic moment this summer was during vacation with my friends and family, sitting on a gorgeous white sand beach and watching a beautiful sunset…it doesn’t get much better than that, does it?? :-)
Ummm my fave and most magical summer moment? Relaxing all day in Cancun with my hubby, been a stressful year for him with work so just being together was kind of amazing! LOVE you and your site! Your recipes, photographs and writing are all perfection! You make me laugh so much!
When our son got married!
My magical moment this summer was my wedding!
Taking that long awaited trip to Japan with my husband finally happened this earlier this summer. Wish it was longer!
Magic moment: Jumping into the Baltic Sea for the first time since I buried my mother in 1993. And now I have a 3-year daughter who played in the sand while I froze my butt off in the water. I’m planning on going back. Thanks for all the great recipes.
My magical moment this summer was finding my wedding dress that I can elope in this fall.
My favorite moment this summer was watching my 6 year old come off a huge scary roller coaster and tell her dad that he hurt her hand squeezing it too hard and that he screams like a girl. Awesome.
