Hiiiii.
So. I know I’m not a huge giveaway person, but I am totally blown away by your support and love and all that jazz lately, especially for Seriously Delish and how you’ve completely changed my life. I want to do, well… SOMETHING for each and every one of you and since I can’t buy you all a cocktail with a hug, I figured a giveaway of my favorite things would have to do.
This giveaway is from ME to YOU. I want to show you how much I appreciate you coming here everyday, the encouragement you’ve given me and your all around virtual fabulousness. You really do complete me, Jerry Maguire style. THANK YOU!
See below on how to enter to win all of these goods!
1. This Rebecca Minkoff Crosby tote. It’s no secret how much I love love love my mac clutch bags and mini macs. And my cupid satchel. I love every bag she makes and am totally drooling over this for fall.
2. Jeni’s ice cream! 4 pints to be exact. This should last you, like… five minutes.
3. A Vitamix blender. I’ve become the biggest hypocrite on the planet because for years I said I’d never buy one and would rather buy shoes. But I took the plunge earlier this year and it was seriously LIFE CHANGING. Talk about the thickest milkshake-like smoothies and the creamiest soups. To die for.
4. One year subscriptions to my favorite foodie magazines: Donna Hay and Delicious. These are my go-to for photography inspiration. LOVE. Nothing else compares in my opinion.
5. A fit bit flex. It’s been close to a year since I’ve gone on and on about my fit bit. I completely adore it – not as a workout tool, but more so as a reminder to live an active lifestyle.
6. Two of my favorite books: the Flavor Bible and Bird by Bird. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is how do I come up with recipes – and one of the answers is the Flavor Bible! If I really want to make something with a certain ingredient, I’ll search it and see what flavors pair the best. And Bird by Bird… well it’s a classic that gets me through life. Pretty much.
7. Ummm…. chocolate? Do I really need to explain this one? This is one of my favorites. I need to share.
8. Gift cards to some of my favorite places: $50 to each. One to Sephora, one to Athleta and one to Starbucks. Because I’m a sucker. (if you don’t like coffee GET THE CROISSANT!)
And lastly – this colorful set of my favorite le pen pens and a moleskin notebook (MY LOVE!). It’s school supply time people!! But really, these pens are the bomb dot com. (sorry.)
To enter this giveaway, leave a comment below telling me your magic moment from this summer. Please be sure to leave a valid email address with your comment so I can contact you if you win! This giveaway is open to residents EVERYWHERE! All over the place. If you’re overseas I obviously can’t send you the ice cream, but we will work something else out.
For an extra entry, I would love if you’d preorder a copy of Seriously Delish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can do so on amazon, barnes and noble or indiebound – and the book will be yours in less than TEN days! EEEEEK! I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me to make the book a bestseller. The feeling of achieving something that I’ve worked toward constantly and sacrificed for during the last 6 years was indescribable. A second magic moment this summer was getting engaged to my boyfriend of 5 years on my parents’ 41st wedding anniversary. He is not showy in his feelings so hearing him describing how he felt about me, and us, meant more than I could ever put into words.
My husband and I took a road trip out west finally, and we went to National Glacier Park. The beauty and majesty of nature can only be experienced in person, photos don’t do the justice. And the crisp air during the morning runs..priceless.
My magic moment from this summer was my baby boy’s first birthday. It’s a little surreal how quickly he went from teeny newborn last August to happy baby boy who is never still unless he is sleeping and who is enamored with the world around him. Watching all his other “firsts” was pretty amazing too : )
Many magical moments this summer, but top ones include eating pasta and drinking wine with my mom while watching the sun set on Puget Sound, as well as hearing a group of fifth grade girls sweetly sing “Tiny Dancer” in our theater camp show. tears.

My magic moment was at our local amusement park. My youngest is 5, and I was able to sit in the shade with his older brother and let him run from ride to ride in the kiddie area, without having to wait in line with him and help him in and out, Made what could have been a very stressful day, very pleasant. Also that same day was able to see the biggest smile on my son with special needs, as he rode the rides that he enjoys. True joy!!
Congrats on all your success, so excited for you to have a baby and I can’t wait to buy your cookbook!

My husband and I went to St. Louis this summer for an obligatory family reunion event thing. We had THE best time, and one of my absolute all-time favorite memories is sitting by the pool at our hotel after the family thing, drinking beer and ordering surprisingly delicious food from the hotel bar. We laughed until we cried and talked about our dreams. It was awesome.
I pre-orderd a book a looong time ago when I first found out I could pre-order and got really excited when I found out you’ll be in my hometown and we can hug and talk about food and exchange favorite Essie colors! I die.

Summer can be filled with magical moments … thanks for reminding us to look for them! My moment to share was when I realized my oldest son is now the same height as me … I’m pretty sure he was two feet tall basically yesterday. It’s utterly surreal …
My magic moment – I was driving back home with my boyfriend after an emotionally challenging and rainy breakfast when we passed a small pond and noticed some ducks paddling in the rain. We had the same thought at the same moment. We stopped the car, parked and ran over to the pond. We spent the next half an hour, laughing and feeding the ducks our leftover biscuits. All of the morning’s tension lifted and joy crept back in as we stood in the rain and made new feathered friends. The rest of the day was wonderful, that magical moment changed our outlook and reminded us to take a moment and enjoy each other.
pre-ordered! So excited!
My magic moment was slipping away for a last minute night at the lake with my boyfriend–it was the only vacation I got this summer, and even though it was short , it was just what I needed!
I have also pre ordered! Can’t wait!

Magic moment this summer was learning we are having a baby grandaughter in Nov. My daughter Becky has three boys and we are over the moon with the news. She will be so spoiled by all in the family.

My magic moment was hearing my 2 year old say “I love you, mama.” Totally unprovoked. :)
Magic moment = my 13 month old walking! Now just a week and a half later he runs to me yelling mama when I get home. It’s THE BEST :)
We’ve also preordered your book, can’t wait for it to get here!
I had a lot of “magic moments” this summer, and they all involved spending as much time as I could with the people I love before going back to college! I had an amazing summer with my best friends and boyfriend. I wish it didn’t have to end!
