12 Days of Christmas! I Christmas House Tour Video & Giveaway. {CLOSED}

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas!
I am SO excited to share with you guys that every day for the next 12 days, I’ll be vlogging (think day in the life, waaaay oversharing, Q+A videos), sharing the video here on Crumbs (and on youtube!) and holding a giveaway of my favorite things!
Here’s a peek at some of the Christmas decor in our home. So sorry if I make you nauseaus with my shaky camera skills and poor editing – I’m still learning! There are a few things I left out because I have constant #mombrain and either forgot or wasn’t able to get it together in time. Things like my favorite mini Lenox nativity set (I have no idea where to place it this year, since Max will shatter it), the Pottery Barn Kids advent/Christmas countdown calendar (that is sewn completely crooked but I refused to send back because I opened it ON the first day of advent and was determined to have a cute calendar… ), our favorite Christmas pillows and outdoor lights, etc. I wanted to wait until everything was perfect, but if I waited, I knew I’d never do it and I’ve wanted to make videos FOREVER now.
The first year we were married, Eddie surprised me and bought a tree, decorated it and made his man cave apartment a winter wonderland for us. It was actually the second tree he bought, because the first was waaaay too big, but final sale. So we ended up with two trees! That year, we put up two trees and bought lots of ornaments at Michael’s and Joann’s. That’s where the majority of our ornaments are from, along with a few Martha Stewart from Macy’s that are about eight years old and some new ones from Michael’s this year that I bought for the white tree.
I bought the white tree last year at Treetopia on sale after Christmas. The copper/blue tree is from Target this year, and by far my favorite one. The red/green decorated tree is from Frontgate and will hopefully last us a million years.

My mom made our house incredibly magical when I was growing up. In fact, she still does and I’m hoping that I can get a video of hers before these 12 days are up! She’d stay up all night for days to turn the house into a Christmas wonderland for my brothers and me. It was the most magical time EVER.
Needless to say, I’ve been a complete Christmas freak since I was a kid. When school started up again, I’d wake up early and go downstairs just so I could sit by the Christmas tree in January before we got on the bus. It was my absolute favorite!
Eddie and I were determined to make our house as Christmasy as we could for Max this year. Eddie decorated gingerbread houses for eight hours because he is a perfectionist, and even set up his own tree downstairs in the basement that I didn’t get to capture. It has been so much fun and I love sitting under the lights every night.
Enjoy! And scroll down for giveaway #1!

GIVEAWAY!
Every day for the next 12 days until Christmas I’ll be giving away some of my favorite things. I want to show every bit of my appreciation for you guys sticking here with me for over seven years, reading the rambles that I write and making my recipes and leaving comments and supporting me 100%. Even when I write horrific run-on sentences and use 34 exclamation points in one post. And say “literally.” Ugh.
THANK YOU so much for being here. You changed my life and I am forever grateful for you.
Today I’m giving away a mirrorless camera! If you read my favorites post, you know I use one all the time and I even shot a few pieces of the video here with mine. I was super excited to giveaway the Samsung nx300 that I always talk about, but unfortunately it’s no longer available. Instead, I’m giving away the comparable Sony alpha a6000, which I’ve even considered switching to. This giveaway is not sponsored or affiliated with anyone and is given by me. It is open to EVERYONE EVERYWHERE! Wahoo.

My favorite memory from Christmas is one Christmas Eve at our family Christmas party, so many memories of these nights, we actually had a ton of snow. My dad is one of eight and all his siblings and all my cousins are there, so these parties are huge. We all went sledding that night on this giant hill in my neighborhood. We had so much fun and we still talk about that night.
You mean some ppl already don’t follow you on insta?! Love this giveway!
My favorite Christmas memory is always the same – going to the Christmas tree farm the week before Christmas with my dad to pick out the perfect tree. We spent hours walking around looking for the perfect tree!
New pajamas every Christmas Eve!!

Love going to the movies with my family on Christmas day. It’s usually just the four of us and it’s become quite the tradition. This year will be the first year we aren’t together but Christmas can be any day!
Also, creepily I love seeing what other people’s houses look like so thanks for this, ha!
Favorite memory: waking up every year for the past 25 years on Christmas at my grandparents’ house!
Favorite memory: (long story short…ish) My family of six (i’m the youngest) lived in a duplex for about six months or so while we were waiting for our house to be built. These were some of the best and worst times. Two adults, four kids ages 6 – 12 in literally half a house. Well, Christmas happened to fall within this time. I know I still believed in Santa but I’m not sure if/how many of my siblings did. One of our favorite things to do was check the progress of the house – at this point it had floors and walls, but definitely wasn’t close to liveable. So, Santa left us a note at our house – the length of an entire wall if I remember correctly – telling us he left our presents at our new house since there wasn’t enough room. I don’t even remember the presents (except the cat. i definitely remember the cat) but I loved that Christmas & it was so special to us. Now as an adult I can appreciate how crazy and creative my parents were and I appreciate it even more!
One of my favorite memories was when I was ten-years-old. It was Christmas Eve and I had been tucked in for the night. I was looking out my window into the sky, and I was absolutely positive I saw a flashing red light that was Rudolph’s nose. So magical.
Waking up to the smell of cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, a tradition I have now started with my family.

My favorite holiday memory is staying up late with my mom every December 23rd blasting Christmas music and making food for the family’s Christmas Eve celebrations! We still do it every year.
Does Thanksgiving count as a holiday, because we don’t celebrate Christmas really. If it does, then my favorite memory was the one year when we had two friends over who lived in our area, but their family was out of country, and they couldn’t spend the holiday with their family, so we had them over and kind of pseudo adopted them for the day. We always do a family jigsaw puzzle on Thanksgiving, and that year, we did a mystery one. We had so much fun, and it was so nice that we were able to help them have a fun holiday despite their circumstances.
If you want a Christmas memory, then my favorite would be last year. I was down in California with my extended family over Christmas, for my first time ever. The actual Christmas celebration wa hectic and overwhelming, but seeing my cousins I hadn’t seen in 5 years, and the quiet, relaxed Christmas brunch with just my aunts, mom and grandparents with Christmas music playing in the background was literally the best. ❤️
My favourite holiday memory from childhood was waking in the night to find that Father Christmas had been and my stocking was full of pressies and poking out of the top was a fibre optic torch glowing beautifully like a magic wand! I still love those things now!
My favorite holiday memory is taking family photos! Its always fun picking a new location, dressing up and getting our whole immediate family together. It’s harder to get everyone together now but when we do take family photos and see how we’ve changed its sweet and sentimental

My favorite holiday memory is watching Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation with my parents and brothers. It never gets old :)
My favorite holiday memory is how we always would go pick out our Christmas tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving! I loved the tradition of going as a family on the same day every year.

My favorite holiday memory is going to my grandparents house on Christmas Eve, opening tons of presents and then going home and watching outside my window to see if I could spot Santa Claus flying by in the sky! It was always the most exciting time of the year and pretty much the only time my siblings and I got along! I still love the holidays, even though our traditions have changed over the years.

My favorite holiday memory (I have so many!) is going to this fancy restaurant with my maternal grandparents, great grandmother, and my parents and brother when I was really young. My great grandmother loved this place and I’m sure it was a nice restaurant, but I was a super picky kid who would only eat hamburgers so I’m sure I made everyone else miserable. However, I remember feeling so cool for going to a fancy restaurant and they had all of these gingerbread houses and tons of cool decorations.
Favorite Christmas memory: After my parents were divorced my much younger brother had to sleep in the bed with me Christmas Eve night so that I could make sure he didn’t wake up early and stumble into the living room catching Santa in the act. He would wake up before dawn every year and me being the grumpy teenager would basically lay on top of him to get him to stay in bed/go back to sleep. Now that we’re both adults I miss those days that he would wake up so early with such glee.

One year my dad decided on fresh lobster for Christmas Day but my sister and I had already named and made friends with the lobsters so we couldn’t eat them!

Opening a gift on Christmas Eve is probably one of my favorite magical memories!

My favorite Christmas memory always revolves around food. We’ve made the same menu for as long as I can remember. Swedish meatballs, potatoes, fruit salad, prime rib, and cookies and cake

We always had a big family dinner at my grandma’s house on Christmas Eve, then went over to my cousin’s house to open presents. My grandma would make a big tray of cookies and fudge that she’d bring when we went to open presents. This will be our first Christmas without her, but all of the granddaughters are getting together to make the cookies this year :)
Christmas has always been my favorite! How do I pick one memory? I guess the one that stands out the most is that all four kids would have to wait at the top of the stairs until everyone was awake and ready to run downstairs and nose dive into the presents. It was pure agony waiting for my dad to join us, and I think he was messing with us on purpose, but MAN was it rewarding when we finally got to the tree!
And I already follow you on Instagram :)
All of my fondest Christmas memories involve my mom. When I was a kid, on Christmas Day, we’d wake up late and promptly go to the tree and give each other presents. We’d stay in our matching Santa pj sets all day, and we’d spend the rest of the day eating sweet treats and watching Xmas movies.
I’ve glady subscribed to your YT channel and I already follow you on IG. Can’t wait for more videos, Jessica. Your decorating skills are off the chain!!!!!
I always loved going to see the Christmas lights and choosing one gift to open on Christmas Eve. My son just turned one last month and I’m SO excited to experience the magic of the holidays through his eyes ❤️
