This year has been hard for so many folks and I’m feeling the sadness and fear from my friends and family about where our world is headed– I wish we could all focus a little more on taking care of each other no matter how little we have in common. I’m hopeful for a restorative, joyful 2017 where we can celebrate matching unprecedented struggles with unprecedented love and understanding.

i wish for everyone to feel the joy of love this holiday season. My heart is breaking for all of those, especially children, that won’t have that experience this year.
If I could have one wish granted it would be that all of my students (I teach 7th and 9th grade) would be super enthusiastic about learning every single day!

If I had just one wish it would be to spend my Christmas with my entire family! Family reunions typically consist of an Olympics style board game competition, periodic loud outbursts, and LOTS and LOTS of cooking! Having my aunts, grandma, and mother all in one kitchen makes for some of the best meals of my life!
