My Favorite Things Holiday Giveaway: Win a $500 Amazon Gift Card! [CLOSED]
Happy December 12th! I am SO excited to begin counting down the 12 days of Christmas!

You guys have been asking me left and right if I’d be holding another 12 Days of Christmas vlogging series this year. While I’d love to, all we’re REALLY doing over here is cuddling a newborn. But! Starting today, I will be holding multiple giveaways for some of my favorite things and you can bet that they are in.cred.i.ble. I promise!
These giveaways are not sponsored and are given by me to show how much I appreciate you being here. I LOVE YOU! Thank you for stopping by this rambly corner of the internet every day. It seriously means the WORLD to me.
To kick things off on this first day of Christmas, I’m giving away two $500 amazon gift cards! This gift card will be sent to you electronically, so you will receive it well before Christmas. Like you will receive it two or three days from now.
Please see below for detailed rules on the giveaway, but all you really have to do is leave a comment on this post. And… something else super exciting!
You also have a chance for a second entry and to get a signed copy of my next cookbook, The Pretty Dish!

TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:
- Follow @howsweeteats on Instagram and Facebook. Leave a comment (with a valid email address so I can contact you!) on this post telling me your favorite memory of 2017!
- For a second entry, pre-order a copy of The Pretty Dish and leave a second comment saying you did so. You can find the book on amazon, barnes and noble, books a million and indie bound. My favourite memory of 2017 was turning the big 4-0! It was a lot of fun celebrating it with family and friends!!
Unfortunately I’ve had a truly horrendous 2017, but there have been a few wonderful moments where someone’s kindness and compassion made all the difference. A dear friend at work just showed up for me, every day, no matter what mood I was in, and was there for me no matter what. We never talked much about our problems, but just having someone be there was what kept me going. We got up before dawn and went canoeing in the freezing cold and saw the most spectacular sunrise ever over some nameless lake in the middle of nowhere, and that photo and memory will always remind me that no matter how terrible a situation is, just recognizing that someone is struggling and showing up for them is the simplest but most important gift you can give. Happy Holidays Jessica :)

My favorite memory was hiking “The Path of the Gods” with my husband along the Amalfi Coast in Italy this Summer. 2017 was a TOUGH year for us, with numerous failed fertility treatments, it felt a lot of times like we would never reach our goal. This hike made me feel so strong in my body and mind and reminded me that we can accomplish anything together. Currently 11 weeks along with our miracle babe, so this Holiday season is extra special for us.

My favorite memory of 2017 was getting engaged in South Port, NC! My fiance took me to my favorite restaurant and then to a gazebo right across from the marina where a pod of 5 DOLPHINS swam up and started playing right in front of us. It was a magical moment for sure!
Favorite memory of 2017: Taking a road trip with my sister. We try to travel somewhere together every year or two and this year decided to take an East Coast road trip. From IN-OH-NY-VT-NH-ME-MA-RI-CT-NJ-PA-OH-IN. In one week. Most of the states we lingered in for at least an afternoon, and we fell in love with Maine coast closely followed by the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. We listened to Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult on the trip and had many discussions of current issues in our country. So many memories!
My favorite memory of 2017 was probably a long weekend in Chicago with my husband and two kids. I love traveling!
My favorite memory from this past year was a trip my husband and I took to Seattle, Vancouver, the Williamette Valley (alllll the wine), and Portland. It was so much fun exploring the PNW! What a beautiful part of this country.

Moving from Europe to the SF Bay Area :) love all your posts, especially this time of year! Thanks Jessica :)
2017 was kind of blah…but I would have to say my favorite memory was a weekend trip to ATL with my boo! I had never been there before but we had so much fun exploring the city and hanging out. We went on an awesome food tour (even though I was slightly hung over for it lol) and just generally got to chill and not worry about the stresses at home.
My favorite memory is adding a new baby to our family in February.
With 3.5 and 1.5 year olds, there are too many wonderful memories to narrow it down to one! Just soaking up these crazy, sleep-deprived, fun, snuggly early years.
I’m not sure if you mean my favorite memory personally, or my favorite memory of yours!! But obvi, your new baby girl is the highlight of 2017 on How Sweet!! It is so freakin fun watching your kiddos (and family) grow! My personal favorite memory and how I will remember 2017 is moving into our new home. Looking forward to a great 2018!!

Girlfriends weekend in Vegas was the highlight of my year!
I’m so excited about this cookbook. I’ve been following since you’ve been leaving wedding dressed comments on a million blogs. Anyway, my fav 2017 moment is my son sending me emails because I finally let him have an email address. He’s 7. He only knows my email address ha ha. He sends me emojis and silly one liners.
This year there have been a few (not many!) moments where my kids have actually played together and enjoyed the other’s company for a while. It’s a super pleasant change from the screaming and I’m wishing for more of it in 2018!
