Tuesday Things.

1. How to create positive urgency. I love this so much.
2. I’m still enjoying some true crime podcasts but need some new recommendations. I don’t love unsolved cases. Give me your faves!
3. Craving this chocolate pudding cake like whoa.
4. TV things. Still loving Tell me Lies so much even though the characters are nuts. I also keep watching Nobody Wants This!
5. I kind of want an oura ring. Except I don’t love wearing rings. And do I need something telling me that I don’t sleep?
6. The top prime day faves that I think are *actually* worth it.
7. In case you’re a freak like me and already thinking about Thanksgiving, here are my Thanksgiving essentials!
8. I also can’t wait for eggnog lattes. There I said it.

I prefer the unsolved true crime podcasts but I recommend Dateline almost all are solved and they do an after the verdict podcast which can be a nice supplement.
I also like long from episodic podcasts and recommend DC Sniper and 22 Hours: An American Nightmare (both of these are solved)
I can’t believe I forgot my favorite TC podcast: Small Town Dicks!
It’s hosted by Yeardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson) and stories told by the investigators involved.
awesome thank you!!!
I’m not big into true crime, but recently I’ve been loving the Giggly Squad podcast! It’s super girly and fun.
Ha about #7! I was JUST talking to my family about Thanksgiving today. I’m relieved that I’m not the only one. :)
I have an Oura Ring. I love it. And I find the information helpful – especially about sleep. There are times when I feel I didn’t get a good nights rest but the Oura Ring scores my sleep score high. And it makes me feel better to know that. I would say that it is at first awkward to get used to wearing it but you quickly become used to it. I hope that helps. By the way – I always like reading your Tuesday Things. It gives me something to look forward on Tuesdays.
I love my aura ring even though it constantly tells me that I don’t get enough sleep. lol I’ve had mine since 2021. I like that it breaks down the type of sleep and shows me a chart. There is a lot of other data it also collects, like heartrate, temperature, activity, and you can even track your cycle on it – the predictor is more accurate that the other app I have for that. Plus, they are constantly upgrading what the ring can track and do in the app. I also like the meditations and experimental functions. If you like data, it’s really fun and worth it.
I love the Anatomy of Murder podcast narrated by a former NYC prosecutor and a detective. It’s well done, I think you’ll like it.
Let me de-influence you on the Oura ring. I have it and honestly think about selling it all the time. It’s fine. It’s not life-changing. The information is cool, but at the end of the day, you know how you feel, if you slept well or not, or if you moved your body. I do like the temperature tracking, but that’s just one way to track your cycle. I say use the $ you’d spend on an Oura ring on something else, like actual jewelry!
